Risk of Noir

My love letter to detective, spy, gangster type film and media! As of right now, currently adds 18 skins, please see them below!!

Drifter - Riveter

  • A frequent user of UES Railway, some times as a normal passenger but some times as a stowaway. Has a bad habit of taking junk that doesn't belong to her, also a handy mechanic!

Operator - M.I.A

  • Operator certainly looks like he works for UES, the tech, the outfit, even the security clearance... If you asked, he'd probably make up an excuse or disappear. Or of course, maybe you could steal one of his drones. Maybe that would get him to talk.

Loader - Bodyguard

  • You'd be sure not to mess with the Captain, especially not when his right hand woman is equipped with a kneecap annihilating titanium exoskeleton.

Bandit - Bandit... P.I

  • Private investigator is not a title you'd see associated with a man that goes by "bandit" but can you blame the guy for wanting to turn over a new leaf? Still, having connections to some powerful people and a knack for being nosy gets you pretty far in this business.

Artificer - Super Secret Agent

  • A mysterious lady covered in elegant clothing and jewellery... And she has a job for you, Mr. P.I. Are you capable?

Captain - Godfather

  • The man speaks with a softness, but don't be fooled. He has a big, loyal family. And you do not cross the family, especially not him.

Commando - Journalist

  • Commando is the kind of journalist who likes to get into the nitty gritty, and that means he gets into all sorts of trouble. Recently, a coworker of his disappeared and he's going to find out how, why and if he's still out there.

Engineer - Camera Man

  • Commando's work buddy, if there's a guy who loves film and photography it's this guy. He's always working on some crazy camera set up just cause he wants too. He finds himself dragged into Commando's antics, but he doesn't mind.

REX - Suspicious Camera

  • One of Engi's "Camera experiments", though he's lost track of this one. Uh, is it just me or did that plant just move? and why does it have a lamp?

Huntress - Sandiego

  • Hired gun, thief, detective... She provides all kind of services if it interests her enough. Commando hired her and Bandit to help him locate a certain coworker of his...

Void Fiend -[Mon?ster??]

  • On a dark stormy night, A P.I, a thief and a journalist found themselves in a back alley, staring back at a monster. The Detective and the Thief exchanged grim looks, the journalist choked on his words, "It's... It's him."

Railgunner - Perfect Shot

  • Another fellow News Photographer, her specialty is long range photography. Though this does get her in a lot more trouble than she'd like, maybe she should have been a wildlife photographer after all. She'd much rather be chased by lions than a certain Mercenary.... At least she could try negotiate with food.

Mercenary - Yakuza

  • This is the kind of guy you hope you never see, you'd better have some powerful friends. Because otherwise... You're already dead.

Seeker - Bartender

  • A quiet Bartender who seems to have... Agendas. She knows a guy... Who could use some of your skills, are you up for the job?

False Son - False Hero

  • There have been reports of Providence being spotted wandering around in the dead of night. We would like to put an end to these ridiculous rumours, after all, Providence's funeral was widely televised.

CHEF - Train Conductor

  • This model of CHEF has been modified to be THE best Train Conductor out there. Hot chocolate? COLD chocolate? He's got it! Conductor is also capable of dealing with 'unruly' passengers for the safety of others and the train as a whole.

MUL-T - Train Operator

  • To accompany the Conductor Unit, a MUL-T unit has also been deployed on the trains making them completely autonomous! the Operator MUL-T is in charge of driving, refuelling and general repairs. the Conductor may also call upon the MUL-T unit for assistance in moving unruly passengers.

Acrid - Gojira

  • The Conductor dragged MUL-T into the cargo cars and pointed at the peculiar creature nested inside. Acrid cautiously watched from the corner it wedged itself into. The robots made all sorts of strange noises in conversation. Finally, the Conductor shrugged and placed a "round trip" ticket in front of the creature. "Please enjoy your trip with us!" The bots waved goodbye and moved into the next car.

To Do

  • Risk of Noir is now complete! At least I guess until another dlc comes out or some thing breaks
  • I do have other ideas that I'll just keep a secret for now but no guarantees.

  • hotfix for bandit to remove a mesh that was not supposed to be here and it bothered me enough to not want to wait until the next wave
  • Also enabled Dithering for all skins now that it is restored with the new dlc

4.0.1 - Alloyed Collective fixes

  • Mul-T and Acrid weren't casting shadows. oops
  • fixed Bandit and Captain displays in lobby
    • I'm aware people have fixed this on their own however I haven't the slightest idea how, but my fixes should not break yours at all.
  • also fixed Acrid's lobby display missing particles
  • fixed Engi's missing particles
  • made minor adjustments to artificers model (probably not noticeable lol)

known issue

  • engi's turrets spawn in white and then appear as normal. i dont know why it does that but it doesn't bother me that much

Any further fixes will be included with my Operator and Drifter skins I have stuff in mind but I'll see which ones i'll see finished.
