Aggressive Insect is an item in the Rulers of the Red Plane mod for Risk of Rain 2.

On hit, inflict a debuff that causes the enemy hit to deal 5% less damage and takes 25 armor for 3 seconds (+3 seconds per stack). However, this debuff also causes the enemies to heal 10% of the damage they deal. Sacrifices Introspective Insect.

Tips

• While the lifesteal may seem like a large downside, it is a small price to pay(the enemies won't heal that much) for effectively 20% extra damage.
• Stacking doesn't do too much so if you pick it up right before a run ending boss you'll be able to have both the effects of this and Introspective Insect.

Dev Thoughts

While negative effects have long since been relegated to lunars, this is not a big enough off a strong effect(and 25 armor reduction that isn't on a red item) makes it fair in my opinion.
