Divination

Icon Name Description
Divination A complex deck that allows you to control the card composition.

Overview

The Divination deck is a complex deck best suited for people who have a basic understanding of how House works and are looking for a more involved play style, or for people who are looking for a complex deck-of-cards survivor without the wacky nonsense that Full-House provides.
This deck revolves around generating and expending Ante in order to gain access to powerful effects from their Positive cards, using Control cards to tweak the deck to remove unhelpful cards from their deck, as well as duplicate and add new cards to increase the quality of each draw to ensure they get the card combinations they need to succeed, although, be warned, as the more Ante you have, the more frail you will become.

Tips

[this deck is new, so without much feedback and community input, these tips are only informed by my own experience in testing, and might not perfectly reflect community sentiment]

  • The more cards you use, the more cards you will see, this can be helpful to remove unhelpful cards and duplicate the cards you want to see more as early as possible, as this will make you more powerful as the stage continues, also good for the usual reasons.
  • It might be a good idea to gain a cursory knowledge on what all the cards from the other decks do, as The Star can create them and add them to this deck (for as long as they are not "indestructible").
  • Bust and Snake Eyes rarely serve much purpose, it's best to get rid of them whenever given the opportunity.
  • The less cards you have, the higher the likelihood of getting any specific card you might be looking for, but the less damage you will deal with Pick Up 52.
  • if The Sun is in the hand along with a card you want to see more of, using The Sun will put the duplicate into the next hand, letting you use it immediately.
  • Using The Sun when The Star is in the hand will create a copy of The Star, additionally, The Star can also create a copy of itself with its own effect, this can be useful for making custom decks, although, this process takes a lot of time, and is undone when the stage ends.
  • If you find yourself with a bad deck of cards, you can always use Judgement to undo all the changes made, since Judgement is indestructible it cannot be removed from the deck.
  • The World can be used to remove all other deck editing cards from the deck (other than Judgement), this can be useful when you've made the changes you wanted and wish to free up space in the hand for cards with active effects.
  • Three of a Kind cannot activate The Sun, The Moon, The Star, The World, or Judgement, and as a result it does not risk messing with the deck whatsoever, additionally, if you remove the Snake Eyes and Busts, its chances of negative effects are practically removed.
  • Summoned allies from Page of Pentacles can be healed with King of Wands, which can be used to maintain a group of summoned units, potentially indefinitely (practically for about a minute or so, potentially less).
  • Queen of Cups grants unlimited use of loaded ammo for up to 15 seconds, this can be good if Clubs, 7 of Clubs, King of Clubs, or Knight of Swords are used immediately after, and combo's nicely with attack speed from Spades, Ante, and any other form of attack speed boost.
