Survivors - Huntress

Huntress

Huntress is in a relatively good place as-is, but does have a bad skill or two (cough cough Arrow Rain), and her primaries feel a bit lackluster to use. The aim of these changes is not to overly buff Huntress, but to enable more playstyles.

Base Character (buff)

- Auto-aim lock on range increased from 60m to 75m.
Comments:

This is mainly to help Huntress handle the big bosses without putting herself overly at risk. Voidling is an especially notable culprit, though both False Son and Mithrix can be very annoying in multiplayer.

Default Primary | Strafe (buff)

- Critical strikes from your primary attack reduce skill cooldowns by 1 second.
Comments:

In order to give Strafe a reason to be used over Flurry (not that it's bad, but it's less enjoyable to take the "safe" option), I decided to make both primaries have some sort of crit synergy. While Flurry keeps its high damage and proc scaling, Strafe now reduces the cooldowns of your skills, taking inspiration from Risk of Rain 1's Wicked Ring (as well as RoR1 Huntress in general, who has very short skill cooldowns).

Alternate Primary | Flurry (buff)

- Attack duration reduced from 1.3s to 1.1s (effectively 16% increased attack speed). Overall, dps has increased from 230% to 272%.
Comments:

Now that Strafe has its own form of crit scaling, Flurry no longer needs to be held back quite as much. It still has slightly lower dps at base, but should feel slightly better to play with. Huntress doesn't need huge damage buffs, but I'll be keeping an eye on both primaries for future tweaks.

Alternate Utility | Phase Blink (nerf)

- Cooldown per charge is increased from 2s to 2.5s.
Comments:

Phase Blink's value in rapid repositioning without interrupting your attacks is extremely powerful. Too powerful, I would say, especially when paired with cooldown reduction from the newly-buffed Strafe, so I am toning it back just a bit.

Default Special | Arrow Rain (buff)

- Damage per tick is increased from 110% to 180% (dps increased from 330% to 540%) and proc coefficient is increased from 0.2 to 0.7.
- AOE radius increased by 33%, giving it better value on groups of targets.
- Hitbox height is increased by 50%, ensuring that it can actually hit midair targets (and Voidling).
Comments:

Arrow Rain is vastly inferior to Ballista, both in proc and damage. This should bump up its effectiveness quite a bit, making it quite viable on stationary targets and dominant against swarms.
