This mod will allow players to receive better rewards from Swarm monsters and control how many monsters are spawned per swarm.
When this mod is enabled it will affect the function of the Swarm Artifact. The default function of the Swarm Artifact is to spawn twice as many monsters with half as much health. I thought this would allow me to earn gold faster or get more item drops when using the Sacrifice Artifact, but it does not. Each of the Swarm monsters only give 50% of the gold or 50% of the chance to drop an item. This mod can force that to be 100% of the gold and item drops of a standard monster. This mod can also control how many monsters are spawned per swarm. This has to be a minimum of 2 monsters, but it can go as high as you like. If this was set to 10 then ten times as many monsters would be spawned with only a tenth health. By default these would only give 10% gold and 10% chance to drop an item, though they too can be forced to give 100% of the gold and item drops of a standard monster.
After a player has launched the game for first time a configuration file will be created. This can be found at "<RISK OF RAIN 2 INSTALL LOCATION>/Risk of Rain 2/BepInEx/config/Phedg1 Studios/Better Swarm/". If you desire to alter the configuration of the mod it must be done by editing this file.
This file contains the settings for the mod. Whether it is enabled or disabled, how many monsters are spawned per swarm, the health, gold, exp and item drop chance multipliers for each swarm monster.
The item drop chance with the Sacrifice Artifact is actually effected now.
Health multiplier for swarm monsters can not be configured.
Gold, exp and item drop chance settings can now be tweaked individually.
Please note that the install buttons only work if you have compatible client software installed. Otherwise use the zip download links instead.
