BetterMultiplayerRedux
If you're looking for mods that make the most out of this game ion multiplayer without fundamentally changing the core experience, this is the right modpack.
The Mods
Fundamental mods in this pack include mods that increase the max player count, allow friends to join mid-game, and allow you to revive your friends if they have died and are in a safe space. There are also some nice additions to the UI experience, such as BetterUI (which provides a general improvement, and is highly customizable) and CommandQueue (which overall cuts down the amount of time you're standing around picking items, giving you more time to enjoy the game). TeleporterShow and QOLChests highlight items around the world once you've found them to make it easier to find and use the chests that still have loot in them.
Silly Items
The MOST important mod in this pack allows you to wear all 10 pairs of crit glasses at once.
