Mumbo Token Tracker

Ever wanted to keep track of how many Mumbo Tokens are in a world? Well, this mod is for all you completionists out there. This mod adds a per-world Mumbo Token counter to the pause menu's VIEW TOTALS screen.

What it does

In the VIEW TOTALS menu, you'll see an animated button prompt (L, R, or Z) to toggle a world's empty-honeycomb row over to its Mumbo Token count.
The GAME TOTAL page shows the overall number of tokens collected.

Mod and ROM Hack Compatibility

This mod is compatible with ROM hacks that feature custom worlds that relocate or add Mumbo Tokens. When you open the VIEW TOTALS menu, the mod reads each world's token placements straight from the game's map data, so the counts stay accurate to what's present in the ROM hack. If a hack's data can't be read for any reason, it quietly falls back to the vanilla counts.

If you're using a language mod, this will also work as there's no text being changed.

Doesn't the game already show how many tokens you have?

The game shows how many tokens you have in reserve for Mumbo transformations, while the mod tracks the total available tokens and those you've collected in each world.

Will this affect my save file?

No. This mod is purely visual. It reads token counts and draws them. It won't touch your save file, so you can activate or deactivate it without consequences.

Mod Options

The mod allows you to set your preferred toggle button in the mod config menu to L, R, or Z.

Default: R.

How to use

Pause the game and open VIEW TOTALS.
Press your configured button (default R) to toggle a world's row between empty honeycombs and Mumbo Tokens.
Flip to the GAME TOTAL page for your overall token count.
