SandevistanFX

Turns BONELAB's slow-motion ability into a Sandevistan, inspired by Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Features

  • Neon green world. The moment slow-mo kicks in, the world flashes and gets a neon green color grade.
  • You keep your normal colors. Your body, the weapons and items in your hands, and everything in your holsters stay their real colors while the world turns green.
  • Rainbow afterimages. Copies of your avatar and your gear trail behind you as you move. Their color drifts slowly through the rainbow, up to 50 can be on screen at once, and each one stays solid until it disappears instantly. No fading.
  • Gone the moment you stop. Turn slow-mo off and every afterimage vanishes at once, and the green grade fades out.

Installation

With a mod manager (recommended): install through r2modman or the Thunderstore Mod Manager. MelonLoader and BoneLib are installed automatically.

Manually:

  1. Install MelonLoader and BoneLib.
  2. Put SandevistanFX.dll from the Mods folder of this download into BONELAB\Mods.
  3. Start the game and use slow-mo.

Settings

Open BoneMenu → Sandevistan FX in game. Turn on Preview (force on) to see the effect without slow-mo while you adjust it.

All settings are also in BONELAB\UserData\MelonPreferences.cfg under [SandevistanFX].

Setting Default What it does
GradeColor #3DFF73 Color of the world grade (hex)
GradeStrength 0.7 How strongly the world is tinted
ActivationFlash 0.5 Brightness of the flash when slow-mo starts
FadeOutTime 0.15 Seconds for the green to fade out (0 = instant)
KeepPlayerColors true Keep you and your gear in normal colors
AfterimageInterval 0.06 Seconds between afterimages
AfterimageLifetime 3 Seconds each afterimage stays
AfterimageOpacity 0.5 How see-through afterimages are
AfterimageHueSpeed 0.2 How fast the rainbow color changes
AfterimageMaxCount 50 Most afterimages on screen at once
AfterimageIncludeItems true Include held and holstered items in afterimages
AfterimageAdditive false Glowing afterimages instead of solid see-through ones
TriggerOnAnyTimeSlowdown false Also trigger when time is slowed by other mods

Troubleshooting

  • No green grade or afterimages: turn on Use Fallback Shader in BoneMenu. The grade becomes a green wash instead of a color filter.
  • An afterimage sits on top of your body when you activate: raise AfterimageRevealDistance to 0.12 so afterimages wait until you move away before appearing.
  • For anything else, check BONELAB\MelonLoader\Latest.log for lines starting with [SandevistanFX].

Known limits

  • The view through scopes stays untinted.
  • While the grade is up, glass or particles in front of your hands won't cover them.
