EchoLocation-MM

Explore BONELAB through sound. Reveal a dark world with colored dots, player silhouettes, footprints and bullet trails.

• EchoLocation: walking, talking and nearby sounds reveal your surroundings.
• LiDAR: double-tap the right controller grip to scan ahead.
• Sonar: automatically scans around you.
• Radar: circular waves sweep inward or outward, with bright fronts fading into soft trails. Scanned scenery stays faintly visible between waves. Wave contacts leave fading player and NPC model silhouettes. Objects appear as scanned dots; detection switches control each category.

Open BoneMenu > EchoLocation to turn the mod on, change modes or adjust settings. The title stays the same in every mode. The button below Mode opens that mode's settings. Settings are grouped into six colour-coded sections; use the page arrows for more controls instead of opening deeper folders.

Settings include scan colors, Low/Medium/High performance, optional VR and spectator voice meters (both off by default) and optional yellow impact marks within 1 metre of a surface hit. Impact marks work only in EchoLocation. Choose Circle, Triangle or Square dots in Settings > General. Circle is the default. Radar Settings includes scan direction, distance or solid colors, range, pace, dot spacing, trail length and detection switches. The fade automatically follows range and travel time; scans reach above and below player height.

Install

Requires Windows PC BONELAB, MelonLoader 0.7.3 and BoneLib 3.2.2. Install through your mod manager, or replace the old DLL in the game's Mods folder with Mods/EchoLocation.dll. Keep only one copy.

Fusion is optional for multiplayer features. Effects are client-side; remote voices and impacts depend on data available to your client. Live VR appearance and performance still need in-game testing.
