Suppression
Screen and audio suppression effects when bullets pass near your head.Suppression
Bullets that whip past your head now mess with your senses. When enemy fire passes close to you, your screen darkens with a vignette and your audio gets muffled and quieter, just like being under real fire. Get hit and the effect slams to full.
Features
- Near-miss detection: Tracks the flight path of incoming bullets and checks how close each one passes to your head. Bullets fired at you from up to 70 metres away are picked up.
- Distance-based intensity: The closer the shot passes, the stronger the effect. Anything within about 4 metres of your head triggers suppression, and very close calls hit hardest.
- Visual effect: A dark vignette closes in around your vision, plus a light overall darkening.
- Audio effect: A low-pass filter muffles the sound and the master volume drops while you're suppressed.
- Toggles: Toggle if you want this or that.
- Damage response: Taking damage pushes suppression to maximum.
- Smooth fade: The effect holds briefly, then fades out over a few seconds so it feels natural instead of flickering on and off.
- Ignores your own shots: Bullets from you and the guns in your hands never suppress you.
