Cheat Mode

A cheat menu for testing things in Bopl Battle. The window is ugly on purpose, the terminal is not.

How to open it

During a match, type the Konami code on your keyboard:

W W S S A D A D B A (up up down down left right left right B A)

Close it with the X in the corner or press Esc. Drag the title bar to move it, drag any edge or corner to make it bigger or smaller. Your bopl stands still while you type, and clicking the menu never fires your abilities.

The terminal

It works like a code editor:

• It guesses what you are typing. Type sp and it suggests spawn and spawnlist. Type spawn gr and it suggests grenade. It knows commands, things to spawn, players, colors, abilities, maps and dummy actions.
• Tab puts the selected suggestion in, Up/Down picks another one, and you can also click a suggestion. Up/Down without suggestions scrolls through your old commands.
• Wrong words turn red. A wavy red line goes under the wrong word, and the line below tells you why: unknown thing 'grenad' - did you mean 'grenade'?. The line also shows how the command is written.
• Enter runs the command. Results show in green, errors in red.

Panels

• Change Ability: pick a player (you or anyone, dummies too), pick slot 1, 2 or 3, then click the new ability. Type to search.
• Dummies: spawn dummies and make them fight you, follow you, jump, walk, aim at you, use any of their abilities, spam an ability, stop.
• Spawn Anything: a button for everything the game can spawn.
• Maps: go to any map (* = space map).

There are also shortcut buttons for God, Fly, No Cooldowns, bombs, black holes, engines, sizes and more.

Commands

Wherever a command wants a player, you can write me, all, others, dummies, a player number (1, 2, ...) or a color (red, blue, pink...). The line under the status bar always shows who is who, for example 1 = you, yellow 2 = pink 3 = dummy.

god [on/off] [player]	Immortal. Walk on water. On space maps you fall back in from the top. Black holes spit you out.
fly [on/off] [player]	Hold jump (space) to fly up.
nocd [on/off] [player]	No ability cooldowns.
spawn <thing> [count]	Spawn something in front of you: spawn engine, spawn grenade 5, spawn blackhole...
spawn dummy [count]	Spawn a dummy player (a test target you can control).
bot <dummy> <action>	Control dummies: use <slot or ability>, hold <slot> [seconds], spam <slot or ability>, jump, walk left/right [seconds], aim <player/up/down/left/right/angle>, follow [player], fight [player], stop. Example: bot dummies fight me, bot 2 use rock.
kill <player>	kill dummies, kill red (works on god mode players too)
size <player> <scale>	size red 2, size me 0.5 (0.2 to 6)
ability <slot> <name>	Change your own ability mid-match: ability 1 grenade, ability 2 blink gun
give <player> <slot> <name>	Change someone else's ability.
tp <player> / tp <x> <y>	Teleport yourself.
bring <player>	Teleport someone to you.
map <number/next/random>	Go to any map right now.
players, abilities, maps, spawnlist	Lists.
help, clear, close

Online

It works online, but every player in the lobby needs this mod installed. If someone is missing it, the menu won't send commands and tells you who is missing it (otherwise their game would fall out of sync). Commands run on everyone's game at the same moment, so online they happen about 0.75 seconds after you press Enter. Anyone in the lobby can open the menu, so only play with friends who are fine with cheats.

Dummies use a free player slot (max 4 players with dummies), and they disappear when the map changes.
