A networked DOOM-style action mode for Content Warning with weapons, monster health, hordes, glory kills, an action-camera scoring loop, and a gun shop.
Multiplayer with 5+ players (via the Virality mod) is now fully supported. ContentWarningDoom
imposes no player limit of its own — every system already keys off the live Photon player list /
actor numbers, not a fixed 4 slots. Verified: Doom Mode sync, weapon give, player HP, PvP, Glory
Kill, revive, per-player score, action camera, results table, host authority, late join.
Startup / session logging: logs the loaded version, whether Virality is detected (and its player
limit), the room's player cap, and every player join / leave / host change.
Virality is NOT a dependency — without it the mod runs exactly as before at the vanilla 4-player limit.
0.3.1
Fixed the action-camera filming the inside of your own head ("camera behind the eyes"): the
recording now matches the game camera's clip planes and culling mask and sits just in front of the eyes.
Networking fix: the PvP-kill message shared a Photon event code with the grenade-spawn message,
which could pop a phantom "KILL" (and phantom score) when a grenade was thrown, or spam the log on
a real PvP kill. PvP kills now ride the existing kill-meta channel. Explosive friendly fire also
now correctly hurts the host when caught in another player's blast.
0.3.0
Added a physical WEAPON BENCH on the surface (place it with Alt+P, remove with Alt+L): spend Scrap
earned from Doom-Mode kills on the SMG, Assault Rifle, Marksman Rifle, Auto Shotgun and Crossbow,
then assign each to weapon slots 1-6.
Combat feel overhaul: precise ragdoll-collider headshots, physical hand recoil on every shot,
damage-free monster hit reactions/knockback, and a danger-level bonus to filmed-kill content score.
Friendly fire now just works (single shooter-side setting) and is active only during the PvP/Action
phase, never on the surface; explosive weapons (BFG, grenade launcher) also damage players.
Killed players auto-respawn 15s later, offset from their death spot, only while PvP is live.
PvP kills now score CONTENT points when filmed, plus an on-screen KILL/MULTI KILL confirm for the killer.
Real per-player video recording end to end: fixed the film-time countdown never depleting, the dive
bell getting stuck and never resurfacing after a round, and the endless "forgot your camera" block.
New custom bullet-impact effect (sparks, dust, flash) replacing the placeholder purple particles.
Weapon fire sounds now come from real audio, mapped per weapon.
Procedural "epic battle" music (Alt+N) rebuilt as 4 fully distinct tracks — Crimson March, Doom
Below, Last Stand, Rip and Run — each with its own tempo, drum groove, bass line and lead motif,
on a sample-accurate beat grid so the tempo never drifts or stalls at the loop point; live volume
control with Alt+=/Alt+-.
Fixed remote players showing the wrong held weapon, the round-winner disc not landing in inventory,
and several weapon view-model orientation issues.
