DarkwaterRejoinFix
DarkwaterRejoinFix is a BepInEx mod for Darkwater that fixes the vanilla rejoin bug where players always come back dead and stuck as a mouse during an active run.
What It Does
- Places late-joining players at the player submarine spawn on the host.
- Repairs broken hot-join client state after loading into an in-progress game, including the dead-as-a-mouse rejoin bug.
- Retries voice hookup when joined players load in without linked remote speakers.
When To Use It
Install this if players rejoining mid-run:
- rejoin dead and stuck as a mouse,
- spawn in the wrong place,
- get stuck in an invalid gameplay state,
- or lose voice chat after joining.
Installation
Install with a Thunderstore-compatible mod manager, or place DarkwaterRejoinFix.dll in BepInEx/plugins.
Both host and clients should use the mod for the most reliable results.
If the mod is installed on the host only, late join and rejoin handling will still work, but the rejoining player can still have client-side state desync issues such as being unable to enter the store or outpost.
