Hand Crafted Trinkets

Loki Moon Labs · 0.1.1 · Dyson Sphere Program 0.10.35.29151

Use Icarus's normal replicator to hand craft existing recipes that normally require a production machine. You still need the recipe's normal ingredients and unlocked research. Ingredient counts, output counts, byproducts, and normal queue behavior are preserved. The optional Complete Replication Queue button skips the waiting time for work already queued.

Incompatible mod: DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue

Disable DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue by BUG in your mod manager before using Hand Crafted Trinkets 0.1.1. It appears as BUG-DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue in r2modman. Hand Crafted Trinkets now includes its own queue-completion button and does not need that mod.

The incompatibility is enforced through BepInEx using Appun.DSP.plugin.DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue. Hand Crafted Trinkets will not load while the incompatible plugin is active. No other mod is disabled and no configuration is changed automatically.

Usage

Close the game, disable DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue, and install Hand Crafted Trinkets through your mod manager. Launch the game modded. BepInEx is the only required dependency. Open the normal replicator, select an unlocked recipe, and craft it as usual. There is no new window, hotkey, or configuration setting.

Click Complete Replication Queue to finish the current queue immediately, using native crafting, intermediate delivery, inventory handling, overflow handling and production events. The button has an opaque background and tooltip, and is disabled for an empty queue or while the game is paused. Normal crafting still uses its original time when you do not click it.

Very large queues can briefly pause rendering while their native production and inventory work is processed. Newly added work from another mod's callback is left for a subsequent click. Missing inputs, malformed tasks, game-state changes, errors and lack of native progress stop the operation while preserving the remaining queue. Zero-duration tasks created by CheatEnabler's InstantHandCraft are accepted.

The mod works with existing saves. Recipe eligibility is updated when the replicator opens, after the game's recipe database and other mods have loaded. Production runs only during the completion click. The open window updates only the button's enabled state; no per-frame recipe scanning or custom save data is added.

What can be crafted?

  • Existing recipes with valid, positive ingredient and output amounts and a crafting time supported by the native replicator become eligible for hand crafting, including normally machine-only recipes and compatible mod-added recipes.
  • Locked recipes stay locked. No research is unlocked and no items are spawned.
  • Items without an existing crafting recipe, such as mined resources and enemy-only drops, still need to be collected normally. This mod does not invent conversion recipes or expose hidden internal recipes in the UI.
  • Native automatic intermediate crafting remains unchanged. Industrial intermediates that vanilla does not automatically queue must be crafted separately or carried in your inventory. This avoids introducing circular auto-crafting chains from refining and recycling recipes.
  • Machine-specific effects such as fractionation odds, proliferator bonuses, and factory power are not simulated by the replicator. Hand crafting uses the recipe's listed ingredient and result amounts and normal replicator energy/time behavior.

The mod enables hand-crafting eligibility and provides optional queue completion. Production-machine recipes, research progress, other mods' settings, and native recipe dependency caches are not rewritten. Close the game and disable the mod to restore ordinary hand-crafting eligibility on the next launch. Complete or cancel pending newly enabled craft tasks before removing it.

Compatibility and testing

Designed to retain the normal replicator, queue handling, and research checks. DSPReplicatorPlus quantity controls can remain enabled. DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue is explicitly incompatible and must be disabled. No native queue, inventory, production, or research methods are patched; the completion button calls the native forge. Mods that subsequently change hand-crafting eligibility may override this mod. Multiplayer behavior has not been tested.

All 208 automated checks passed, covering eligibility changes, recipe preservation, restoration, native research checks, synchronous completion of large queues, native ForgeTask ingredient/output accounting, native intermediate TaskFeed accounting, callback changes, reentrancy, errors and malformed tasks. Completion fixtures substitute engine-dependent delivery/context boundaries. Loki Moon Labs confirmed successful in-game testing of version 0.1.1 with its current mod setup. This does not establish compatibility with every mod combination.

Acknowledgment

The queue-completion feature was inspired by DSPCompleteReplicatorQueue by BUG. Hand Crafted Trinkets implements its own button and completion controller using DSP's native forge; it does not bundle or require that plugin.
