GK2 Codex
An in-game wiki for Graveyard Keeper 2 (F4): how any item is made, a Now page with what needs attention, a plan for your zombies, bodies and organs, quests, chests, vendors, alchemy, the graveyard and the factory. Only what your save knows.GK2 Codex
The wiki, inside the game. Press F4.
- Now: the first page. What needs attention (a factory short of power, a full supply storage, a machine whose queue ended, a zombie that can level up or is not in its place), your town orders, your active quests with what they still lack, your zombies against the zombie limit, the best body in the morgue, and the factory in plain words. With Thoughtful Week, today's line and a Week button. F4 reopens the page you left (or Now every time, as you like).
- Items: how anything is made, where, from what, what it's used for, and which raw materials it takes in the end. Find the nearest puts the game's glass on the nearest chest that holds it. Where to sell it and how many likes are left this week, where a fish is caught, and the alchemy mixes your save knows for things only alchemy makes.
- Zombies: sub-tabs Overview, Plan, Zombies (one table), Morgue and bodies, How to raise, Stations, Squads and Perk trees, with your zombie list always on the left.
- Plan: a short ordered list of what to do next with your zombies: who goes to which station, what to buy, what it gives and what it costs, with buttons to find the zombie and the station.
- A zombie's card: its body as the game draws it, with the six organs, their stars and skulls, and the better organ you own; its perks with Buy buttons; the station it is meant for and what to level next there, with the game's numbers ("Planks: 40 s > 20 s").
- Stations: every station you built, who fits, who works there, and what to do with the empty ones.
- Morgue and bodies: every body the morgue counts, with a verdict ("Better as a zombie: 10 red skulls") and the steps at the autopsy and embalming tables with what you own. Stand at a morgue shelf or a table for a preview card.
- NPCs & Quests: like the game's journal: faces, quest icons, what each quest still lacks (bag and chests counted), the reward, and a To Shopping List button.
- Chests, Vendors, Alchemy, Buildings, Graveyard: every storage and what's in it; who buys and sells what, at what price; your formulas and runes; what buildings cost and make; your graveyard and church, what holds them back and what to build next.
- Factory: a plan for what the underground factory should make (machines, zombies, raw materials, power), and Factory now: each machine and what holds it up, the power, the items on the belts, and what the factory really made against the plan over the last 7 days. Inspired by GK2_Helper by Freaky and Fortigan.
Ways in: F4; G over an item in any window; G in the world on what you face (a station, chest, zombie, quest giver or body), or L when Almanac is installed; "Codex" in an item's right-click menu; a small Codex button in the game's zombie window and in the autopsy and embalming windows; the Keeper's Lantern wheel.
Lost a zombie? Locate points you to it with the game's own pointer.
Attention ribbon (off by default): problems that stay on screen until they're solved. The Now page shows the same list with the ribbon off.
Everything is clickable and searchable: type anywhere in the window to search every tab. No spoilers: only what your save has unlocked ("Show all" is optional). The game pauses while the codex is open. 11 languages, gamepad supported. The ? button in the codex window opens the FAQ at the tab you are on.
Settings
In the settings window of the SaintArchI mods (F7, or the "SaintArchI mods" button in the pause menu), in the Mods menu (with GK2 Mod Framework), in ConfigurationManager, or in BepInEx/config/gk2.codex.cfg. The settings are grouped in blocks (General, Tabs, Attention ribbon, Display, Gamepad, Language); Settings.txt next to the DLL explains each one, in the game's languages.
Works with
- Made for game 1.010 (the new carousel power, the crow nest).
- Shopping List, Thoughtful Week and Zombie++: the codex uses them when they are installed (the + and To Shopping List buttons, the day on the Now page, Zombie++'s perk nodes and bonuses on the zombie card). None of them is required.
- Travalgard's mods: with Almanac, G in the world stays its AutoWalk (the codex uses L there) and the ribbon steps aside of its pin list; an "Open the codex" entry on Keeper's Lantern's wheel; a chest marked by the codex is released once you reach it, so Storage Access lists it again; the factory's power notes Carousel Veterans; perk bonuses show what the game really gives, with or without Unofficial Patch's fix.
Manual install
Put GK2Codex.dll, README.txt, the Settings*.txt files and the Localization folder into BepInEx/plugins/GK2Codex/. Needs BepInEx 5.4.23.x (x64). The factory plan, the factory log and the zombies' goals are kept in BepInEx/config/GK2Codex/, not in the save.
