This modpack extends the minimal modpack with many mods that impact gameplay. It strays farther from the vanilla feel to reduce tedium and make gameplay smoother and more intuitive.
Honorable Mentions:
- FullAutoEverything: Holding the trigger keeps firing semi-auto and burst weapons.
- After you play long enough, clicking gets old...
- DoubleTapToggleSprint: Allows hold-to-sprint users to double-tap sprint to toggle it.
- Nice to save your pinky some effort on long distance runs.
- NoMenuBlink: Removes the blinking effect on some menus.
- Ever click on a weapon too fast and it closes the loadout menu? Never again.
Major impacting mods:
- SpreadStartingAmmo: Distributes more ammo if there are fewer than 4 players.
- Ensures the total ammo on drop is constant across player counts. I feel this should be a default feature as solo/duo/trio is already a challenge on its own.
- PierceBugFix: Pierce weapons always hit up to their maximum hit count.
- Vanilla might not be balanced around this, but makes pierce vastly more consistent.
- DropItemFixed: Allows you to place items in resource containers.
- Allows you to trivialize some fights by setting up, but is primarily here to make swapping with a teammate less tedious.
- ResourceHelper: Shows previously seen resources and consumables on the HUD.
- Reduces tedium of needing to memorize or call out where resources are.
- FasterHackingMinigame: Removes the delay between hack stages.
- Direct upgrade, but hacking is incredibly boring, so I prefer to have it.
- EnemyAnimationFix: Fixes several enemy bugs.
- Impacts how enemies act in some cases, but removes many nonsensical or buggy interactions.
- ShootInTheAir: Allows aiming/shooting while in the air.
- Technically enables offense while remaining more mobile than sliding, though such tactics will eat stamina in vanilla-likes.
- AutoReloadPlus: Adjusts auto reload behavior.
- Low impact by default. If customized, can reduce the inputs needed to optimize gunplay, but removes some of the skill in keeping track of your magazine.
- SprintReloadCancel: Allows sprint to cancel reloads.
- Like AutoReloadPlus, can reduce the inputs needed to optimize gunplay, especially when customized.
- LadderFoamFix: Prevents foamed enemies from blocking unfoamed enemies.
- Prevents exploits where foamed enemies can completely clog ladders and doorways. Makes the game harder.
- BetterMeleeHitbox: Improves hitboxes on melee weapons.
- Low impact. Affects how you might aim with melee weapons, but generally improves their feel without affecting their balancing.
- CustomEnemyUpdater: Allows changing how frequently enemies update.
- Low impact. By default this pack includes a config with higher values. You may want to reset the config if performance worsens too much.
- ZoomFOVScaling: Scales zoom field of view with hipfire field of view.
- Low impact. You may need to adjust the config depending on the rundown.
- NoSway: Keeps the flashlight centered always.
- Low impact. I prefer it as it lets you keep weapon inertia maxed out without your flashlight going everywhere.
