The MAS-36 was the stopgap rifle used by the French prior to WWII: While the MAS-40 battle rifle project wasn't ready, and with the large stockpile of Lebel and Berthier rifles no longer in production, the French used the MAS-36 as their primary infantry rifle. Many features would later get copied over to the MAS-49 rifle after the war.
This rifle comes with its own bayonet; to use, click beneath the barrel to equip the bayonet much like on the SKS.
