The Reising was adopted by the US Marine Corps shortly before America entered WWII as a replacement for the M1 Thompson; this closed bolt SMG offered superior accuracy, but the first shipment of guns were all defective because logistics had disassmbled and reassembled them with mismatched parts. From there, the Marines switched out the Reising, though the gun saw more commercial success domestically.
FYI the charging handle is located inside the fore, so watch your fingers!!!
