Hunt: Showdown Hunting Bow

The Hunting Bow from Hunt: Showdown!

A lot of effort was put into making this bow feel comfortable and nice to use, but even more effort was put into the arrows.

Standard Arrow

• High speed Arrow
• Piercing damage and does bleed on impact
• Arrows stick into sosigs and all surfaces, so if you miss, the arrow will be stuck where it landed and can be retrieved
• You can also shoot a stack of arrows at the ground so you have them ready to grab without being on your quickbelt
• Arrows can be pulled out of sosigs and cause damage when ripped out
• Head shots are (almost) always a kill
• Unaware sosigs hit by these arrows will crit for 3x damage and ragdoll kind of like Skyrim for stealth archer action
• Sosigs hit by an arrow close to a wall will pin like a meat nail

Frag Arrow

• Lower speed heavy Arrow
• Can be "plunked" at a shorter distance if you draw the arrow shorter
• Blunt damage that stuns on headshots
• Arrows stick and explode in 1.5 seconds for a short radius, so close combat isn't as perilous as it seems (but still kinda dangerous)
• The fuse only ignites on impact after firing, in flight doesn't count
• Burning fuse effect lets you see where the arrow lands from afar easily

Features

• Damage and velocity based on how far back the bow string is pulled
• Reversible for left or right handed users
• Release your grip on the string to let a nocked arrow fly, or pull the trigger similar to an archery release
• Sounds from Hunt: Showdown
• "Rip away" arrows to un-nock an arrow
• Stability is increased as the string is pulled further back for better aim control
