


Just a heads up, I need to re-update the weapons because I left the "Is Reward" bool on. I need to fix that so that these weapons are available in the spawner, properly.

The question that pounded my head the months leading up to Black Ops 7.
Leaked lists of weapons that'd come with this game's launch all suggested returning weapons from BO2 BO3 and BO4, but I had hoped for something more, something of substance.
I wanted continuations of weapons from prior games, not just regenerations of existing ones that the leaks suggested. They are trying to tie a knot between two franchises. Thats a huge undertaking... But also, a huge creative opportunity.
When I saw that promo art, the pistol and the rifle, the way Section held that rifle felt off to me. Was it AI? Was it... slop?
When I saw them trying to sell their new character, 50/50, to be on the same level as the rest of the gang, but holding that same rifle with a reciprocating charging handle... It was a red flag, that they could actually drop the ball, in understanding how weapons worked and in matching the quality of their last scifi Black Ops.
I was concerned that I would be disappointed... That they wouldn't deliver, that they'd under-deliver, or worse of all, they'd do a disservice to the scifi cods of years prior by abolishing the concepts of the devs who made those fan favorite guns.
So, I decided to make something out of those feelings.
