This lead to the creation of the Experiment species, along with dozens of later offshoots.
After years of unethical private tests, they set their sights on something bigger.
They knew of multiple areas, with valuable data, and easy travel paths.
Soon, thousands of specimens, guns, and miscellaneous squarrels were sent.
While most was shipped undetected, a large amount was mistakenly sent to the wrong areas, giving away their plans instantly.
This, however, was seen as an opportunity by the scientists to do more behavioural research, by sending thousands of specimens down to fight for the valuable data.
The chances of it working were low, but shipment is cheap, and their breathing cannon fodder is plenty.
