Civilian conversions of AK-pattern rifles are far from a rare sight in eastern Europe, but the SOK-94 "Vepr" earns some recognition as perhaps the only semi-auto civvie carbine based on the RPK machine gun. The benefit of the heavier barrel and receiver on hunting are questionable, but it sure looks badass. It usually feeds from proprietary not-quite-AK 7.62x39mm magazines, but some madman filed some bits down and made it take standard AKM magazines. Hooray!
