The Amazing Digital Circus "Anime" PlayerBodies

Episode 5 had this one moment where the cast was thrown into an anime high school slice of life world, that was a great time. Episode 6, they were given guns to shoot at each other with. When I watched these two episodes back to back, it made me think I could get these characters involved with my own hobby.

Fast forward a few months and I spend 222,000 YEN ON VRCHAT MODELS, that comes back as a whopping 150 'MERICAN DOLLARS. We've reached triple digits expenditure on a goofy ah H3VR PlayerBody mod what are we doing? How did we get to this point?

Well, putting it bluntly, I'm not that smart when it comes to Blender, nor is my computer that strong to survive switching to the shader tab. I struggled with the official TADC models because they were unable to export textures of the same name. The way that they are rigged, the way they were textured, all built in obstacles to prevent me from porting them to Unity... And even then, if I did pull it off, I wouldn't have blend-shapes to work with to give them that extra oomph like other PlayerBodies of mine.

Alternatively, I'm rooted in VRChat model culture despite not having played VRChat a single time in my life, so alternatives were easy to find, and the perfect collection of models was found.

Yumily has remade the TADC cast in the shape of episodes 4 and 5, and in particular, that anime scene I enjoyed, well, there was 3D made models of that 2D scenario, some of which were made completely from scratch. To get these models that had blend shapes and VRC fitting armature, it became a no brainer purchase.

A few touchups on my part, a few shading swaps, trying out clothes in alloy and Skin tones Cel-shaded, bringing these models to H3VR was a fun challenge to be had. Not everything is perfect though... Zooble doesn't have their anime counterpart, unfortunately, so the PB comes off as a bit of a lie.

Bigger than that, these models have that cartoon factor with their hands similar to Sweet Tooth. In turn, I've spent an extra amount of time trying to circumvent this, working around and making the hands somewhat functional despite the sausage like fingers... I think they're obnoxious but if you look at them in 3rd person, they look the part, and I'd say thats a success!

H3MP Disclaimer

Although this mod needs H3MP to work, this mod will not work with H3MP multiplayer servers. This is due to the FVR Physical Object component of my PBs, all of this in order for the PB to be able to be deleted when spawned from the item spawner. I have no plans to undo this current PB setup, so anyone looking for PlayerBodies to use with friends, blacklist my name cuz I won't be able to provide what you are looking for.
