Gewehr 41 (Mauser)

The Gewehr 41(M) was Mauser's entry in the search for a semi auto option for the German army in WW2. Chambered in 7.92×57mm Mauser, it used a Bang trap style system and also uses a rotating bolt action retained a manually operated charging handle, allowing the rifle to be used as a manually operated bolt action style rifle if the system failed. Mauser was the only one who actually complied with all the requirements from the army and made a complicated, if not unnecessary system in the end.

To operate the rifle, flick the fire selector from safe to fire, rack the bolt back and load in two stripper clips. If the bolt handle is not in the down position, the rifle may fire but it would be in bolt action mode.

When empty, in order to slide the bolt forward, ride the bolt handle as far forward, press the bolt release/hold open device and you'll hear a click, which then releases the device and allows to close the bolt on empty.
