JVPC

The JVPC or the Joint Venture Protective Carbine is an Indian compact PDW developed by DRDO specifically around the 5.56×30mm MINSAS cartridge. Unlike the Amogh, the JVPC was designed from the ground up as a dedicated personal defense weapon rather than being derived from an existing rifle like the Amogh with the INSAS. It was intended to replace older 9mm submachine guns like the Sterling and Stens from the Indian arsenals.
