MG60 Lightmachine Gun

The MG60 was an experimental West German LMG made by Rheinmetall as a means to be an improvement of the MG42 with lighter, cheaper and lower rate of fire weapon for the Bundeswehr. It was chambered for 7.62×51mm NATO and used a roller-delayed blowback action, rather than the MG 42’s roller-locked system. Unlike the MG42, the rate of fire was significantly lower between 800-1000 RPM to be much more usable.

The experiment didn't really go anywhere and the Bundeswehr adopted the MG3 anyways.

In order to operate the MG60 properly, remember to lock the bolt back to be able to release the top cover. After firing your belt or box, remains of the linkage can stay, so swipe away, tilt or lift up the feed tray to clear it! And remember to also push your bolt handle forward to avoid mishaps.

• Belt can be wonky and might be a bit performance intensive for some machines, this is just why belts aren't used in H3!
