SIG MG 710-3 Lightmachine Gun

The MG 710-3 is a Swiss made LMG made by SIG from the mid 50s. Not exactly a direct copy but more inspired by the MG-42, the MG710-3 was made to replace the Swiss army's machine gun but didn't see any actual service at all, thus the LMG was then made for export, especially in a few African countries. The MG 710-3, being the 3rd iteration of the weapon, features mostly the same style of ergonomics and mechanics as the MG-42, such as quick change barrel, roller-delayed blowback, etc.

There are the main 3 versions of the LMG, namely the standard MG 710-3, the earlier prototype variant with a metal stock as well as a modernized semi-fictional variant in FDE.

Though the firearm was made in Switzerland, the fact that none of them were made in 7.5mm Swiss was unfortunate, thus there is a variant of each LMG in a What-If 7.5mm Swiss version.

Operating the LMG is similar to the MG60, lock the bolt back to be able to open up the top cover, of which load either belt or box and then close the cover shut. Do not forget to push the bolt handle forward! You'll risk some misfire if that happens. And similarly, linkages may be left behind after expending belt or box, lift up the feed tray or swipe it with your hand to clear it!

• Belt can be wonky and might be a bit performance intensive for some machines, this is just why belts aren't used in H3!
