Modpack
Select your first hammer and various bug fixes/options.Hades 2 Utility and Bugfix Modpack
This mod provides an in-game ImGui menu to configure targeted gameplay adjustments, starting hammer selection, and various bug fixes. All features can be toggled individually. Inspired by Hades 1 Speedrunning Modpack.
Design philosophy is keep the game vanilla but remove some frustrating design choices.
How to Use
Open the mod menu from the Modpack entry in the ImGui menu bar and click Toggle Mod Menu.
Mod Marker
When the mod is enabled, a config hash is displayed on the HUD. This hash encodes your current boolean settings (run modifiers, bug fixes, QoL) so runs can be verified at a glance. Hammer selections are excluded from the HUD hash to keep it short. The marker automatically updates when settings are applied and disappears when the mod is disabled.
Master Toggle
The Enable Mod checkbox at the top enables or disables the entire modpack. Disabling it automatically reverts all game data mutations — no restart needed.
Tabs
-
Quick Setup — Load a saved profile to configure the modpack in one click. Select a profile from the dropdown and click Load to apply it. Only populated profiles are shown.
-
Hammers — Select a guaranteed first hammer for each weapon aspect. Organized by weapon, with collapsible sections per aspect. If the selected hammer is ineligible due to weapon aspects or other conditions, the game defaults to vanilla random selection.
-
Run Modifiers — Toggle individual gameplay adjustments (see below). Settings grouped under collapsible headers.
-
Bug Fixes — Toggle individual bug fixes (see below). Each fix can be enabled or disabled independently.
-
QoL — Quality-of-life options for cutscenes, dialogue, and spawn behaviour (see below). Credit to PonyWarrior for their PonyQoL2 mod.
-
Profiles — Export, import, and manage saved configurations:
- Export / Import — View your current config hash (settings shown in green, hammer selections in gray). Copy the full hash to share with others, or paste one in to import. Importing a short hash (without hammers) only updates toggles and leaves your hammer selections unchanged.
- Saved Profiles — 10 profile slots. Save your current settings to a slot with a name and optional tooltip, load a slot to restore settings, or clear a slot. Use Restore Default Profiles to reset all slots to the shipped defaults (AnyFear, HighFear, RTA).
Applying Changes
All changes are staged as a draft. Nothing takes effect until you click Apply Changes (pinned to the bottom of the window). Click Discard to revert to the last applied state. The UI shows a warning when you have unapplied changes.
Config Hash
Every combination of settings produces a unique short code (e.g. 1AfB0v.3.a2.xQ). The first part represents your toggle settings, and the rest represents your hammer selections. You can copy this code and share it with others — they paste it into the Import field to get the exact same setup. If someone shares a shorter code (toggles only, no hammers), importing it will update the toggles but leave your hammer choices as they are.
