SuperCreatures

A BepInEx mod for How to Fish that allows you to configure the spawn chance of rare "Drip" (Shiny) creatures.

In the base game, caught fish only have a ~5% chance to appear as a special Drip variant (wearing sunglasses, featuring custom meshes, and selling for significantly more in the Journal). This mod gives you full control over that roll.

Features

• Configurable Drip spawn chance (0% to 100%, default: 50%).
• Optional toggle to force every catch to be a Drip variant (100% guarantee).
• Optional setting to allow bosses and mini-bosses to also roll Drip variants.
• Dynamic bilingual support (automatically adapts to English or Russian depending on game language).
• Compatible with in-game mod settings menus (e.g. ModMenu) for live adjustments.

Configuration

Settings can be modified in-game or via the configuration file at BepInEx/config/com.howToFish.supercreatures.cfg:

• Enabled (true/false, default: true): Toggles the mod on or off.
• SuperCreatureChance (0 - 100, default: 50): Percentage chance for hooked fish to spawn as Drip variants.
• AlwaysSuper (true/false, default: false): Overrides the percentage chance and guarantees a Drip roll on every catch.
• AllowBosses (true/false, default: false): Enables Drip rolls for bosses and mini-bosses.

Installation

Via Mod Manager (Recommended)

Install directly through Thunderstore Mod Manager or Gale.

Manual Installation

1. Ensure BepInEx 5.4+ is installed.
2. Place SuperCreatures.dll into your How to Fish/BepInEx/plugins/ directory.
3. Start the game.
