Boom Goes the Dynamite
Four new explosives for How to Fish: super dynamite, a deployable nuke, a configurable time bomb, and proximity mines.BOOM GOES THE DYNAMITE
Flashing lights and loud sounds warning: The nuke fills the screen with white light, followed by a fading afterimage and ringing tone. Explosions and beeps may be uncomfortable for players sensitive to flashes or loud audio.
Bring more chaos to your fishing trip with four distinct explosives. Look at a money vendor and hold F to open the draggable, resizable dynamite shop. All four items use their own 3D model and matching hotbar icon.
| Item | Price | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| Super Dynamite | $100 | While holding it, click Mouse1 to light its five-second fuse and start the vanilla sizzle, then throw it. An unlit bundle remains inert if dropped. Shooting it can also detonate it. Its damage and blast radius are three times those of vanilla dynamite, with a larger visual blast. |
| Nuke | $1,000 | While holding it, tap E while aiming at level ground or a slope of at most 30 degrees to place it. Hold F for five seconds to activate it either in your hands or while looking at a deployed nuke. Hold E while looking at a deployed nuke to pick it back up; any player can do this, even if someone else bought or placed it. The supplied activation sound plays first, followed by a ten-second countdown with increasingly fast beeps. At detonation every living creature and unprotected player in the world is killed. A player with god mode enabled survives but still experiences the white flash, explosion audio, and fading ringing tone. An unactivated nuke cannot start a fuse by being thrown or shot. |
| Time Bomb | $150 | While holding it, tap E to choose a fuse from 5–20 seconds, then hold E while aiming at a surface to deploy it. The countdown and loud beeps begin only after placement. During the final second the beeping becomes rapid. Dropping it without deploying leaves it inert; shooting it can detonate it. |
| Proximity Mine | $200 | Hold E while aiming at a surface to deploy it. It beeps for one second while arming. Once armed, its faint red detection bubble appears for every player. A living creature entering the 3.5-metre bubble starts rapid beeping, then the mine explodes after half a second. Shooting it can also detonate it. |
The Time Bomb and Proximity Mine can attach to floors, walls, ceilings, and other surfaces within eight metres. The Nuke needs a reasonably flat floor. The host authorizes purchases, placement, nuke activation, proximity detection, and explosions. Every player in a multiplayer session should install the same mod version.
The four in-game models are imported from the supplied GLB assets. The supplied nuke activation clip is included and plays for all players before the countdown begins. To replace it, put your own NukeActivation.mp3, NukeActivation.wav, or NukeActivation.ogg beside BoomGoesTheDynamite.dll. A short alert tone is used only if no clip can be loaded.
