Utility Wheel

Utility Wheel adds a translucent, controller-first radial selector for every occupied and visible hotbar slot. It is not limited to weapons.

Controls

Controller

  • Hold LB to open the wheel.
  • Point with the right stick to select an item.
  • Release LB to equip the selected item.
  • Press B before releasing to cancel.

The activation button can be changed from LB to RB in the config.

Keyboard and mouse

  • Hold Tab to open the wheel.
  • Point with the mouse.
  • Release Tab to equip the selected item.

The keyboard fallback is enabled by default and can be disabled in the config.

Features

  • Shows only occupied, visible hotbar slots.
  • Release-to-equip selection with a safe cancel action.
  • Slightly transparent presentation that keeps the game visible.
  • Automatically matches BetterUI's remembered palette when BetterUI is installed.
  • Defers to other active editors and menus to reduce input conflicts.

BetterUI is optional and is not a dependency.

Installation

Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman

Install Utility Wheel and launch Inferno Protocol from the same modded profile. The required BepInEx 6 IL2CPP pack is declared as a dependency.

Manual

  1. Install the Windows x64 Unity IL2CPP build of BepInEx 6.
  2. Start the game once, let BepInEx finish setup, and close the game.
  3. Extract this package into the Inferno Protocol game directory.
  4. Confirm that BepInEx/plugins/UtilityWheel/InfernoProtocol.UtilityWheel.dll exists.

Configuration

Settings such as the activation button, opacity, stick deadzone, and keyboard fallback are stored in:

BepInEx/config/com.holden.infernoprotocol.utilitywheel.cfg

Compatibility

This release was built for Inferno Protocol's Unity IL2CPP version and tested with Steam build 25029929, Unity 6000.4.11f1, and BepInEx 6. Inferno Protocol is in active development, so a future game update may require a rebuilt mod.

Uninstall

Close the game and delete BepInEx/plugins/UtilityWheel. Deleting the config file is optional.
