Utility Wheel adds a translucent, controller-first radial selector for every occupied and visible hotbar slot. It is not limited to weapons.
Controls
Controller
- Hold
LBto open the wheel. - Point with the right stick to select an item.
- Release
LBto equip the selected item. - Press
Bbefore releasing to cancel.
The activation button can be changed from LB to RB in the config.
Keyboard and mouse
- Hold
Tabto open the wheel. - Point with the mouse.
- Release
Tabto equip the selected item.
The keyboard fallback is enabled by default and can be disabled in the config.
Features
- Shows only occupied, visible hotbar slots.
- Release-to-equip selection with a safe cancel action.
- Slightly transparent presentation that keeps the game visible.
- Automatically matches BetterUI's remembered palette when BetterUI is installed.
- Defers to other active editors and menus to reduce input conflicts.
BetterUI is optional and is not a dependency.
Installation
Thunderstore Mod Manager or r2modman
Install Utility Wheel and launch Inferno Protocol from the same modded profile. The required BepInEx 6 IL2CPP pack is declared as a dependency.
Manual
- Install the Windows x64 Unity IL2CPP build of BepInEx 6.
- Start the game once, let BepInEx finish setup, and close the game.
- Extract this package into the Inferno Protocol game directory.
- Confirm that
BepInEx/plugins/UtilityWheel/InfernoProtocol.UtilityWheel.dllexists.
Configuration
Settings such as the activation button, opacity, stick deadzone, and keyboard fallback are stored in:
BepInEx/config/com.holden.infernoprotocol.utilitywheel.cfg
Compatibility
This release was built for Inferno Protocol's Unity IL2CPP version and tested with Steam build 25029929, Unity 6000.4.11f1, and BepInEx 6. Inferno Protocol is in active development, so a future game update may require a rebuilt mod.
Uninstall
Close the game and delete BepInEx/plugins/UtilityWheel. Deleting the config file is optional.
