Better Spray Paint Fork
This mod is a fork of BetterSprayPaint by taffyko. Future updates may include improvements and compatibility with the latest games, if possible.
NOTE: When I uploaded this mod, I was unaware that a fixed version already existed. This mod and BetterSprayPaintFIXED updated the same issue (netcode update), so you can use either one.
NOTE: This mod was originally made to support future updates; however, as the original developer (taffyko) is expected to release an official update, this mod will be deprecated once that update becomes available.
Features & Usage
NOTE: All players must have the same version of the mod installed to play together.
NOTE: In the unmodded base game, not all geometry is fully paintable.
I've done what I can to make more of the game paintable, but there's no way to reliably fix this everywhere.
The placement preview projection will not be displayed on unpaintable surfaces.
Improved painting & eraser
- Several changes/bugfixes that make spraypaint work more consistently, look better, and feel better to use
- Certain spots in levels may still be unpaintable (due to invisible colliders). It remains to be seen if this can be fixed in the future.
- You can now erase! (By default: press
E+LMBat the same time)
(can be disabled in config by lobby host)

Color control
Colors sync properly, and players can change the color of their spray paint! (default key: T)
(can be disabled by lobby host)

Size control
You can now control the size of your spray paint (default keys: + and - on number row)
(maximum size can be configured by lobby host)
Other
- Spray paint never runs out!
- Tank size is fully configurable by lobby host.
- Increased range (configurable by host)
- Shaking the can is more effective (configurable by host)
- Reduced sound effect volume (configurable)
- Increased draw distance (configurable)
- A paint placement preview projection is shown, allowing you to see where you're painting and draw easily (configurable)
- Spray paint on a moon is now properly cleaned up after each round
- Makes the Company Cruiser paintable.
- NOTE: Config can be changed mid-game using a mod like LethalConfig and will take effect instantly, no restart needed!
