Hot Switching

LCVR v1.3.9 and above offer support for hot switching between VR and flatscreen without having to restart the game.

To perform a switch, press the F8 key while inside the main menu. This only works inside the actual main menu, not the Online/LAN selection screen, or during one of the startup animations.

Hot switching bypasses the "Disable VR" option, so you can leave that option enabled if you'd like for VR to not initialize during the startup of the game, and instead opt for manual VR instantiation.

Hot switching makes it easier to troubleshoot issues, as you can change the OpenXR runtime in the settings and then immediately perform a hot switch to check if the newly selected runtime does work.
