LethalTV
Host-provided videos on the ship TV, streamed live to everyone and kept in memory only, so nothing is downloaded to disk. Synced for all players. Adds a TV remote with per-player volume.LethalTV
Play your own videos on the ship TV in place of the vanilla clips.
- Only the host needs the videos. Everyone needs the mod. The host streams the video live to the other players over the game's own connection. Like live TV, nothing is downloaded or saved to anyone's drive: players only hold the next few seconds in memory.
- Synced for everyone. The host decides what's on and everyone sees the same video at the same point. It works like live TV: videos keep playing while the TV is off, then move on to the next one.
- Light on the connection. Each player only receives the video while their TV is on and they're not inside the facility, at about the video's own bitrate. Streams slow down by themselves if they start to cause lag.
- Vanilla controls still work. Press E on the TV to turn it on or off, like normal.
- TV remote. Use the keybinds below anywhere in the ship, or within 20 m of the TV:
| Key | Action |
|---|---|
\ |
Power on/off |
[ / ] |
Previous / next video (synced for everyone) |
- / = |
Your volume down / up (only you hear the change) |
' |
Mute (only you) |
To rebind these, go to Settings → Change Keybinds.
Host setup
- Put your videos in
Videos\LethalTV(for exampleC:\Users\<you>\Videos\LethalTV). The folder is created the first time you launch with the mod. To use a different folder, setVideoFolderinBepInEx/config/brant.LethalTV.cfg. - Videos must be .mp4, .m4v or .mov. H.264 video with AAC audio works best. Other formats (.mkv, .webm, .avi and so on) are skipped, and the log tells you to convert them. The log also says if a file can't be played.
- Host a lobby. Videos play in file name order. Set
Shuffle = trueto shuffle them instead.
You upload each video once for every player who is watching. For example, a 2 Mbps video with 3 players watching uses about 6 Mbps of your upload. 480p–720p at 1–3 Mbps works well. Files you add while the game is running show up the next time you host.
Config (brant.LethalTV.cfg)

Notes
- Everyone needs the same version. 1.1.0 streams instead of downloading, so it doesn't work with players on 1.0.x.
- Updating from 1.0.x deletes the old download cache (
BepInEx/LethalTV/Cache) automatically. - If the host has no videos, the TV plays the vanilla clips. The volume remote still works.
- When you turn the TV on or the video changes, the picture takes a few seconds to appear while the stream loads. Look at the TV to see its status in the tooltip.
- Videos are decoded with Windows Media Foundation. Linux/Proton hasn't been tested.
