TheCompanysOvertime
The Company needs YOU! A Vanilla+ Modpack filled with balance adjustments to various moons, a few new moons, new interiors (around 2), Vanilla balancing, and more!pii funny
Welcome to The Company's Overtime Program! You've been selected to work overtime for The Company as a natural born scrap collector!
This modpack features an attempt at balancing around having fun and goofing off rather than stressing over meeting quota. I want to mention that some of the stuff here isn't super Vanilla+ like the TF2 emotes, but I would not consider those to be massive on gameplay or gamechanging. They're simply there for goofy jokes.
Balance Changes
All Moon now have a dramatically reduced chance for two handers unless stated otherwise.
Slightly more items spawn overall and they're worth slightly more.
Weathers now have loot modifiers;
Rainy
Many many more items spawn but they're worth a bit less.
Foggy
Less items spawn but they're worth dramatically more.
Stormy
More items spawn they're worth slightly more.
Flooded is
More item value and slightly more spawn..
Eclipsed
3x item spawns and 3x item amount.
Experimentation
- Minimum loot increased by 50%/4. Maximum loot increased by 1.
- 95% chance for Facility.
Note: This should make Experimentation more desirable, as full clearing it is vastly easier and safer due to the majorly reduced mob spawns. It is still worse than other moons in terms of scrap value and items, but it isn't outright terrible, and can reasonably hold its own.
Assurance
- Lootpool swapped with Offense
- 95% chance for Facility.
Note: Assurance has been an extremely powerful moon for a long time. Its lack of monsters and good loot made it desirable. This should bring it down a peg.
Vow
- Min-max items raised by 3
- Is now mostly an office.
Note: Vow was a nightmare, Bracken + Mineshaft + Maneater made for an overwhelming and extremely rough combo to deal with. I've moved it to an office to make it much less overbearing and freaky to deal with. Subnote: A lot of why people hate the Mineshaft interior is because its so overwhelmingly polarizing. You can either get 1200 or 100. There is often no 600 or 700, you often get very little even with the increased item amounts. Sometimes its hard to even find a mine to begin with and you can rarely go an entire day without finding one. I'll be looking into re-enabling a mod to make its loot distribution more like the Facility and Manor, which I've used in the past and gotten good results out of it.
Offense
- Min-max items increased by 3
- Loot pool swapped with Assurance
- Is mostly a storehouse
Note: Offense was always lacking. It often times had near paid-moon levels of danger and Experimentation levels of loot with Large Axles and Metal Sheets out the wazoo. This change aims to fix it and make offense a paid-moon-lite.
March
- Min-max items increased by 3
- Interior mostly unchanged. Small chance to be the office.
Note: March was extremely annoying to loot, as the 3 fire exits can help, the massively increased interior size mixed with the item count amount made it annoying, and the fire exits could often screw you over. This small change aims to make March less annoying to find scrap in and more reliable.
Adamance
- Only spawns plushies
- Forest Giant chance dramatically reduced
- No longer spawns Masked
- Is mostly a Storehouse/Facility mix.
Note: I don't even know what to say about this moon. Its in such an odd position. The Forest Giants on a cramped moon with barely any cover near the main entrance is rough especially when combined with other enemies.
Rend
- Two handed item spawn dramatically increased
- Items increased from 19-26 to 29-32
- Is mostly an office.
Note: Big change. But this is to make Rend more of a Cruiser oriented moon that is still easy on solo-play due to the office's elevator.
Dine
- Mostly unchanged
- Is mostly a mansion
- Mine chance dramatically reduced
Note: Dine is fine. The mine chance being reduced was due to the change listed above.
Titan
- Time scale factor decreased to 0.8
- Increased lootspawns by 4-6
- Is primarily a Storehouse/Facility.
Note: Titan is certainly a planet of all time with its obscene amount of turrets and landmines. If turrets were an item Titan would be better than Artifice tenfold because you can walk into a room and find 8 turrets looking at you. This change aims to make Titan worthwhile.
Tauralis (Modded moon)
- Time scale factor decreased to 0.7
- Loot pool majorly adjusted to be mostly shitty low value loot.
- Min-max spawns more than doubled.
- Cost increased to 700
- Can be a mix of Facility and Mineshaft.
Note: This aims to be Titan's sister moon, having less danger but more trips back to the ship. I've had a blast on this moon and I hope you do as well.
Ferangdalion (modded moon)
- I don't remember what I changed
Artifice
- Slightly increased scrap spawn
- Notably decreased Mineshaft spawns
Note: Just a little bump. Nothing much. Probably unneccessary.
Embrion
Total overhaul.
- Increased outside power.
- Massively increased inside loot spawns
- Every item has an equal chance to spawn, with gifts having a 5x higher chance to spawn, and gold bars and zed dogs having a third of a chance to spawn. Two handers cannot spawn.
- Is perma-eclipsed (should be)
- Cost increased to 300
- Is now a mostly equal chance for every interior.
Note: Embrion was more of a joke moon, not really ever having a reason to go to it. This aims to make it more of a challenge moon and a lot funnier to go to. I also know its overpowered with the cruiser but I also don't really care. It's funny. The two-handed items may come back as the Cruiser exists and I know how to use it.
