A vanilla-expanding and thrilling modpack featuring 140+ meticulously balanced mods. Designed for complete immersion into an atmosphere of pure paranoia, deep environmental dread, and fear of the unknown. Balanced for 4 players.

--- Important Information! (Please read this)

šŸ’” Recommended Settings for Better Performance:

  • Disable Motion Blur: It is highly recommended to turn off motion blur in the game settings. Disabling this feature significantly reduces GPU load, stabilizes FPS, and eliminates visual stuttering during sharp camera turns.
  • Be sure to install the game on an SSD or M.2 SSD to ensure proper game synchronization and minimize host-client desync.

āš ļø NEW PLAYERS (READ THIS FIRST):

DO NOT use Discord or any other third-party voice programs. Use exclusively the in-game proximity voice chat, as a huge number of key gameplay mechanics rely on spatial audio.

āš ļø DO NOT UPDATE MODS MANUALLY! Only update them when the modpack itself receives an official update, otherwise you will have to reinstall everything from scratch.

šŸ–„ļø HOST REQUIREMENTS:

The lobby host should have the most powerful PC and stable internet connection for smooth gameplay.

⚔ CRITICAL WARNING:

Adding manual mods on top of this balanced pack may break compatibility. Do so at your own risk.

āš ļø UNFIXABLE NUANCES:

Unfortunately, within the current version of the game and engine limitations, not everything can be fixed. Here is a list of minor nuances you will have to accept:

• Lag on Crypt moon: When exiting the ship, especially for the host, the game may lag severely. Unfortunately, this minor issue cannot be fixed in any way.

• Camera glitches (shaking): The camera mod sometimes malfunctions and bugs out camera swaying after the ship lands on a planet, especially a custom modded one, causing your screen to constantly shake just a tiny bit. This is barely noticeable and happens quite rarely. It can be fixed either by jumping or by entering the terminal.

• Issues with a 5th player: The modpack is strictly optimized for a 4-player crew. If a 5th player joins you, certain mods and mechanics will break. For example: the apparatus (reactor) completely refuses to be picked up into hands when there are 5 of you, but this is only on the client side—everything is perfectly fine for the host. It is unknown what other problems might pop up when a 5th player joins. Play with 5 players at your own risk.

• Loud sound upon loading: When loading into old save files, especially after long expeditions, there might be a very loud and unpleasant noise during entry. Do not panic—your ears might suffer, but your save files will be completely fine.

🚨 ATTENTION:

• The very first launch might take a long time. The BepInEx console may appear frozen while loading mods or throw path errors—this is completely normal. If the console actually freezes, feel free to restart the game.

• You might encounter issues when using the in-game button to invite friends. I highly recommend inviting teammates directly through Steam.

• Clicking the Quit Game button often causes a crash. Do not panic—these crashes are completely harmless. Alternatively, you can just close the black BepInEx console window to instantly shut down the game.

• Various errors might scroll through the console during startup or lobby creation. They are harmless—you can safely ignore them.

šŸ› REPORTING BUGS:

If you run into any severe game-breaking bugs, heavy lag, or unexpected crashes, feel free to message me directly on Discord: flay_exe

šŸŽ§ Total Audio Overhaul

Thanks to the Lethal_Resonance mod, most sounds in the game have been completely remade. The gameplay is now wrapped in a dark, gritty, and terrifying ambient soundscape, while a reworked soundtrack amplifies your anxiety.

šŸ›  Quality of Life & Gameplay Adjustments

  • Improved Spectator Mode: *EnhancedSpectator* Reworks the spectating system. Pressing F6 allows you to toggle between two modes: 1 - Free-look orbit around your target, 2 - Vanilla mode. It also adds an option to choose a floating player model for yourself in the game menu.
  • šŸ“¦ SellMyScrap: A highly useful mod that eliminates the grind when selling your haul at the Company building. It allows you to instantly sell junk directly from the ship terminal, saving precious time.
  • ReservedItemCore (along with ReservedWalkieSlot and ReservedFlashlightSlot) šŸ”¦: Provides two extra dedicated inventory slots for your walkie and flashlight, allowing you to use your main inventory exclusively for scrap. It lets you use your walkie-talkie hands-free by pressing [X] without holding it. Instantly toggle your flashlight by pressing [F], no matter what item is currently in your hands. (Keybinds are fully customizable in the game's control settings).
  • GeneralImprovements šŸ› ļø: A global tweaker for configuring half of the game's elements. Tuned for better balance and general convenience. Adds monitors to the ship displaying extra useful data.
  • Lethal Regeneration ā¤ļø: Health regenerates faster while inside the ship compared to the outside. This is implemented so a minor, non-lethal mistake at the start of a run won't handicap you for the rest of the day.
  • Better Stamina šŸƒ: Solves the issue of overly slow stamina recovery. Strictly tuned for balance to keep the game challenging without making your character feel completely helpless.
  • AlwaysHearActiveWalkiesFork: Makes walkie-talkies much more realistic regarding sound positioning. Now, your friend's walkie will be clearly audible in 3D space if you are standing next to them.
  • OxygenDisplay 🫧: Clearly shows your remaining oxygen level while underwater, helping you realize exactly when it is time to surface.
  • Death Informers: *Coroner*, *Killedbyfake*, and *CoronerMimics* mods reveal the detailed cause of death for fallen crew members, letting you know exactly which mimic or monster ate your friend.
  • CullFactory: Stops rendering the interior of the complex while you are outside, significantly boosting game stability and FPS. Other optimization mods are also included in the pack.
  • MoreCompany: Expands the lobby limit, allowing you to gather large groups of friends.
  • Hitmarker: Adds a visual hit marker and a distinct sound cue when dealing damage to enemies.
  • Vehicle Improvements: *CruiserAdditions* and *BetterVehicleControls* mods focus on fixing the Company truck. The first fixes physics bugs, while the second simplifies driving controls, making the vehicle much more responsive.
  • RemoveInteriorFog: Permanently removes the annoying interior fog inside complexes generated by vanilla weather.
  • JetpackFixes: Fixes the jetpack, removing random mid-air explosions.
  • AdditionalNetworking: Fixes the most frustrating inventory desynchronization bugs.
  • Game and Unity Engine Optimization: The pack features a massive amount of bug fixes for both the base game and other mods. Everything is tuned for maximum synchronization between all players.

🧱 New Facilities (Interiors)

  • Generic Interiors: A versatile mod adding a massive variety of complexes, such as drains, towers, liminal facilities, and more.
  • Specialized Interior Sets: Acf interior, Liminal House, and Gothic Monastery (tailored to specific planets).
  • Beaniebe's Custom Set: Adds well-crafted mineshafts and vehicle hangars.
  • New Atmospheric Dungeons: Basement (dark, tight underground corridors) and Haunted Attic (deeply unsettling space right under the roof).

---

šŸŒŽ New Planets (Moons)

  • Egypt: A desert planet featuring two fire exits and realistic ancient architecture.
  • Crypt: A grim planet surrounded by panel high-rises in the style of East Europe. Sleeping districts everywhere and an atmosphere of total hopelessness.
  • Atlas Abyss: The homeland of the mimics. They feel right at home here, drastically increasing your chances of being deceived.
  • Acidir: A planet featuring a massive ancient mansion surrounded by a rather bizarre environment.
  • PsychSanctum: A planet with a heavy, oppressive atmosphere and an equally unsettling ambient soundtrack.
  • Zenit: An icy wasteland with a stunning view of rocky hills. All the horrors inside the bunker are already waiting for you.
  • Esoterica: A completely dead planet created EXCLUSIVELY FOR THE VEHICLE. Features a massive highway, a bridge, and three main entrances. There is absolutely nothing to do here without a car. An end-game stage moon.

šŸ‘¹ New Monsters

MASSIVE SPOILERS! DO NOT READ THIS SECTION IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE GAME UNPREDICTABLE

  1. Bloombird 🦢: A true saboteur that deals no direct physical damage. Instead, its target is your ship. Perching on the roof, it begins harassing the crew: swapping camera views on the monitor, shutting off the lights, and slamming ship doors closed.
  2. Aloe 🌱: The good twin of the Bracken. It wanders the complex looking for wounded players, sneaking up from behind to drag them to a safe spot and heal them. However, it will not protect you from other monsters.
  3. Coilcrab šŸ¦€: This creature only moves when you are not looking at it. It has a nasty habit of exploding, but after its death, you can harvest its valuable hide. Especially dangerous during storms.
  4. Ogopogo šŸ›: A sea leviathan that will drag you underwater to feed you to its offspring.
  5. Rolling Giant šŸ’€: Adds a monster with a unique movement mechanic. Features randomized behavior—it might move when you look at it or only when you look away, changing its logic every time it spawns.
  6. Mimics (Mirage) šŸŽ: Completely copies the appearance of you and your friends, while talking in your own voices to throw the team into total confusion. All of this is possible thanks to a finely tuned setup of the Mirage mod. All mimics look believable, can carry items, and speak coherent phrases.
  7. Mimics 🚪: Adds fake fire exit doors that attack the player when they try to use them to escape.
  8. The Fiend 😈: Adds a brand-new demon monster that is more than happy to bring pure terror into your game session.
  9. Jaw: Mimics items on the map and catches you off guard. If you kill it, you can take the item.
  10. Stone: Just a chill guy who tries to survive on the planet and is afraid of EVERYONE.

🤯 New Mechanics & Dynamic Events

MASSIVE SPOILERS! DO NOT READ THIS SECTION IF YOU WANT TO KEEP THE GAME UNPREDICTABLE

  • Biodiversity adds several new items. On Experimentation, March, and Artifice, you can find a junk radar. This is a new outdoor item that allows you to detect buried objects and dig them up. (Note: It can be quite buggy and might occasionally spawn loot outside the map boundaries or floating in the air or map objects).
  • InsanityMod 🤯: Completely reworks the insanity mechanic. Being alone and wandering in the dark for too long is now lethal—losing your mind causes the player to die and join the ranks of the mimics, heavily punishing lone wolves or triggering during Paranoia weather conditions.
  • Interactive Loot: SigurdsScrap, NeedyCats, LilysLoot, and Generic_Scraps mods add a massive amount of interactive scrap to the maps.
  • WiseWeapons: Allows you to use found junk as melee weapons, significantly enriching your arsenal. It also adds a grenade to the terminal store for 150 credits.
  • FacilityMeltdown: A chaotic event that triggers with a 60% chance whenever a player pulls the apparatus (reactor). You will have exactly two minutes to evacuate before the facility blows sky-high, all while monsters become aggressively hostile to block your escape. Combined with the new creatures, this generates tons of insane gameplay moments.
  • Zimmer Meltdown: Replaces the music from the FacilityMeltdown mod with the legendary soundtracks by Hans Zimmer.
  • Arachnophilia: A modification that completely reworks spiders, making them much more durable while reducing their single-hit damage. It also adds a creepy spider lair interior and increases the amount of web traps.
  • CoilHeadStare: Makes the Coil-Head a significantly creepier opponent during prolonged visual contact with a player.
  • Weather Conditions: A combination of WeatherRegistry, LethalElementsForky, and Generic_Weathers regulates the weather, adds new environmental effects, and increases the credit rewards for taking extreme risks—the perfect solution for hitting high quotas in the late game.
  • CameraOverhaul šŸ“¹: Completely reworks the first-person camera view. Adds realistic leaning, rotation inertia, and dynamic swaying during running or jumping. This drastically enhances immersion and physical feel of your character in space.

šŸ˜Ž Cosmetics & Fun

The bundle includes plenty of mods for custom suits and changed sound effects. Added the BetterEmotes mod (8 new emotes). The sounds of landmines exploding and hitting enemies with a shovel have been tweaked to be more amusing. All suits from the MoreSuits mod and other cosmetic packs are unlocked by default.

The main focus of this modpack is expanding the vanilla experience and eliminating the grind by bringing maximum diversity to the core mechanics and gameplay. I created this modpack simply because I wanted to deliver a high-quality product. I had to finish the game for the developer and manually reconfigure mods that had terrible balance out of the box. A massive experience of 220 in-game hours and deep knowledge of modding truly shines through this stable build. Have fun with your friends, just like I used to.

Thank you for downloading, I hope you love it! Leave a like if you want to keep me motivated to roll out future updates.

Good luck out there, contract workers!

There are too many of you to name, but every single one of you is a legend.
