FortniteSkins
Four selectable Fortnite character suits: Aerial Assault Trooper, Purple Skull Trooper, Renegade Raider and Pink Ghoul Trooper. Fixes Renegade hair stretching.Fortnite Skins — 0.1.1 character suits
One separate selectable-suit pack: Aerial Assault Trooper, Purple Skull Trooper, Renegade Raider, and Pink Ghoul Trooper. Select the matching named suit on the ship rack. Rack textures are simple colored employee suits; wearing them activates the full supplied character model.
0.1.1 — Renegade hair deformation fix
The source hair used scene-root helper bones outside the humanoid pelvis/head hierarchy. Retargeting translated the body while leaving those helpers behind, producing stretched triangles. The fix rebases 715 affected vertices into the head bind pose and transfers their influences to the head. All 2,249 hair triangles, textures, helmet and visible details are retained. Hair follows the head rigidly; no simulated hair physics is added.
The original 0.1.0 character bundle is byte-for-byte preserved for Aerial and Purple Skull, which the user reported look good in game. Pink Ghoul 1.0.3 files and the white Fortnite-on-blue icon are also unchanged. A separate Renegade correction bundle is loaded by the updated plugin; other models keep using the original bundle.
Editor validation used the production avatar updater, actual skinning bone matrices, translated/rotated player roots and eight head-turn poses. Maximum hair vertex distance from the head dropped from about 938 units to 0.30 units. Skin weight indices and bind-pose counts were checked for all three newly built characters. The user confirmed the fix works in game. No independent gameplay or multiplayer test was performed here.
Thunderstore publication
Upload FortniteSkins-0.1.1-ModOnly.zip. Its root manifest.json, README.md and 256x256 icon.png follow Thunderstore package requirements. Framework dependencies are declared in the manifest and are not bundled in this ZIP. The Manual-WithDependencies ZIP is for manual installation, not Thunderstore submission. Choose your publishing team and the Lethal Company community in Thunderstore. The website URL is optional and left empty. Nothing has been uploaded automatically.
When updating a manually installed profile, replace the existing ClassicTroopers files; do not leave an older duplicate plugin elsewhere. Keep both classictroopers and renegadehairfix bundles beside ClassicTroopers.dll.
Replacing the previous pack
Disable or remove the previous ClassicTroopersSuits / Classic Troopers Suits installation from the selected mod profile before installing Fortnite Skins. The renamed Thunderstore package is a separate package listing; installing it does not automatically uninstall the old listing. Do not keep both enabled. If installed manually, replace the existing BepInEx/plugins/ClassicTroopers and BepInEx/plugins/PinkGhoulTrooper folders instead of placing a second copy elsewhere.
The internal plugin GUID clair.classictroopers, DLL/folder names, bundle filenames, and four suit names intentionally remain the same. This preserves the functioning models and selection behavior. Pink Ghoul's existing GUID is also unchanged.
Recommended: mod manager
Use FortniteSkins-0.1.1-ModOnly.zip. Install BepInExPack 5.4.2100, ModelReplacementAPI 2.4.20, and More Suits 1.5.4 in the profile. Extract the ZIP's BepInEx folder into that profile folder, or use local mod import if supported. Launch Modded yourself.
Manual installation with bundled dependencies
FortniteSkins-0.1.1-Manual-WithDependencies.zip contains the suit pack, BepInEx loader, ModelReplacementAPI and More Suits. Extract its contents into a clean Lethal Company game folder beside Lethal Company.exe. For an existing manager profile, use the ModOnly ZIP and install dependencies in the manager instead.
Keep each character plugin beside its bundle and moresuits folder. Pink Ghoul Trooper 1.0.3 is included unchanged, using its existing plugin identity. Disable/remove an older standalone Pink Ghoul installation from the selected profile first to avoid a duplicate plugin and duplicate suit entry. This pack includes exactly one Pink Ghoul plugin, one new three-character plugin, and one entry per character. Halo Scrap is separate and was not changed.
Every player who wants to see these character models needs the same pack and dependencies. Host and clients should use matching suit mods and configurations so suit indices agree. Do not force all players to one model in ModelReplacementAPI configuration. Actual multiplayer selection has not been gameplay-tested here.
Build checks and limits
Built for Windows x64 with Unity 2022.3.9f1. New plugin compiled against the installed game assemblies. Three new bundles' prefabs reload, have valid humanoid avatars, textures, and bone offsets. Rendered editor previews inspected. Production avatar updater and world-space foot alignment checked over four moving/rotating reference frames per new character. Renegade's split helmet/body rigs were consolidated and its imported height corrected. Standard source materials are intentionally converted to the game's player material by ModelReplacementAPI; no separately bundled HDRP shader is required for the new characters.
Pink Ghoul 1.0.3 DLL, bundle and suit PNG are byte-for-byte preserved from the supplied Desktop archive. This does not verify its original gameplay behavior. No game was launched. Suit-rack availability, animation quality, first-person arms, held-item placement, shadows, death/ragdolls, shader appearance in the live game, and multiplayer still require user testing. The user confirmed the Renegade correction works in game. Multiplayer and other previously listed gameplay behaviors have not been independently verified here.
Troubleshooting and testing
On the ship, try all four named suits and return to a vanilla suit. With a friend using the same profile, choose different characters and switch them. Check running, crouching, ladders, held items, first-person arms, death and spectator view. If the model stays an employee, check BepInEx/LogOutput.log for Classic Troopers or Pink Ghoul errors and verify dependencies. If entries are missing, check More Suits configuration and rack limits. Send the log and a screenshot of any visual problem for correction.
