Vanilla Improved
Getting straight to the point, this modpack have 90 MODS that will provide the following:
- Fix many vanilla bugs.
- Less de-syncs and lag spikes.
- Increase performance through mods and settings.
- Give cool quality of life improvements and features while maintaining the game aesthetic.
- Vanilla compatibility, anyone who doesn't use mods can join your lobby and vice versa.
- No monsters, moons, tools, interiors added whatsoever! (Almost no libraries)
- Compatible with v64. Also configurable and extendable!
- Begone cheaters!
It is recommend that you keep updating this modpack, as i will keep working on getting more mods that enters one of the category above. I also recommend using mod managers, as they're very useful. If you use Windows, you might as well try Gale. But if you're using Linux, it will be hard to use Gale, so you can use r2modman.
Why should i use this instead of others?
Well, you don't have to. This modpack isn't too different from other mod packs that aims to improve performance, fix bugs and provide QoL features. I was just tired of giving my friends new code to export the mods every time i updated it, so i created this modpack. Also, it trigerred me that some modpacks has redudant mods, althrough this one will also have, sorry about that, but i've found some non-standard ways to improve FPS, so you might as well give it a try!
Features
- Cleaner HUD. (Doesn't remove the visor rim)
- Less laggy ship.
- Fancy item icons.
- Improved scanner.
- Anti-cheat included.
- Faster moon generation.
- More cohesive environment.
- Better main menu, pause menu and spectator mode.
- Improved lobby search and management. (Codes included)
- Driver license acquired, you are now a better driver.
- Terminal visual rework! (Inspired by TerminalFormatter and darmuhsTerminalStuff)
- Tweaks on some entities behavior to keep it fair and fun.
- Not only client-side mods, but also host-side mods included!
- Highly configurable, if you don't like a feature you can just take it off on the main menu or while playing! (Except when you can't)
- Semi-lightweight! Consumes a tiny amount of extra RAM compared to many others modpacks with a lot of mods.
- More emotes, cuz why not? (Others won't be able to see if they don't have BetterEmotes)
- No penalty in the company moon, you can have fun there without worrying about losing money =)
- Other things i forgor...
Drawbacks
You wouldn't expect a modpack that has drawbacks, but this one has =)
- The monitor near the ship door will be removed, but nobody uses it so it should be fine. The random tube at the middle of the ship and cords will also be removed and the internal cam/external cam will be deactivated.
- Every new moon and upgrade added outside of this modpack will be added to the terminal but shall be configured manually with NewTerminal. (Sorry)
- Arguably, may give slighty advantages. Such as hp indicator, clean hud, no jump delay, lightning strike location/slot indicator, flashlight and walkie-talkie keybinds, mute button and etc. (Does not include unfair advantages like infinite stamina or ammo)
- The anti-cheat can give some false alarms and end up kicking people accidentally.
- Scanner can be buggy some times.
- I forgor again...
Notes
- This modpack won't break if you don't put any outdated mods. You can include some moons, monsters, interiors or tools, but you'll probably have to mess a little with the NewTerminal mod too.
- To use OpenBodyCams, you'll have to disable the Outside Camera removal on LethalPipeRemoval and enable camera on OBC, be advised that this will cause a heavy performance hit.
- Enabling the raindrop effect on Immersive Visor will also cause a heavy performance hit.
- You can further improve the performance by changing the resolution to Low on Buttery Fixes, but that will make your game go straight to 360p.
- If you're planning on using mods that modify masked enemies (Skinwalker or Mirage), you'll have to disable FixMasks option on EnemySoundFixes.
- As a last resort for performance, you could add HDLethalCompany, but i wouldn't recommend it...
Mods that didn't make it
General Improvements
Too much invasive features, lots of cool things but it isn't completely client-side and will give a performance hit. But you can include if you have a good pc. (You'll probably have to disable outside camera removal on LethalPipeRemoval too)
Lethal Resonance
It takes a huge toll on RAM and performance, but it's very immersive and can be added externally if you're willing to tank it. (It's worth)
More Company
Kinda obvious, it would make the modpack incompatible with vanilla, but you can add it outside and enable/disable if you want to play with more friends or random people. If you want to keep the LC logo while having MC, you can take a look in NoMoreCompanyLogo mod from DaXcess.
AggresiveMaterialFix
It has too many libraries, it would add a unnecessary amount of mods just because of only one mod, but you might as well try it, it may provide a performance boost?
ColorfulEnemyVariety && ExtraEnemyVariety
It was going to be included, you can even find the settings in the config, but I assume not everyone is interested in skin variations that increases the RAM consumption. It's super cool i recommend giving it a try.
darmuhsTerminalStuff
It also was planned but i didn't feel like it
Ship Windows
Waiting for the rework...
Recomendations
Check the work of other modders, they're sick as hell dude!
