This mod requires the following mods to function
BepInEx-BepInExPack
BepInEx pack for Mono Unity games. Preconfigured and ready to use.
Preferred version: 5.4.2305LTGVE-CustomBoomboxMusic
The quickest, easiest and most reliable mod for adding music to the boombox. It allows you to download and play songs via links while you are in the game.(Only Netease Music links or direct file links are supported.)
Preferred version: 1.0.2README
White Girl Starterpack (w/Spice)
A boombox music pack for Lethal Company, designed for use with LTGVE's CustomBoomboxMusic — all tracks are .ogg, encoded for best mix of compression and quality.
Replaces the default boombox tracks with some pop hits, Disney, Y2K throwbacks, anime, and a few extras for spice. ~hehehe
Requirements
- BepInExPack
- CustomBoomboxMusic (1.0.2) — by LTGVE; shows the track name in a "Now Playing" popup when a song starts
Both are listed as dependencies and will be installed automatically by a mod manager.
Installation
With a mod manager (recommended): Install via r2modman / Thunderstore Mod Manager / Gale. Dependencies are pulled in automatically.
Manual: Create a folder at <Lethal Company>/BepInEx/plugins/WhiteGirlStarterpack_w_Spice/ and drop this package's CustomBoomboxMusic/ folder inside it, so the audio files end up at:
<Lethal Company>/BepInEx/plugins/WhiteGirlStarterpack_w_Spice/CustomBoomboxMusic/
LTGVE's mod scans any CustomBoomboxMusic/ folder under BepInEx/plugins/, so the songs are loaded from this package's own plugin folder.
Why .ogg
- tried
.opusin v2.0.0, but the mod's opus decoder collapsed the stereo image and introduced warbling artifacts. The songs sounded mono and muddy through the boombox .oggis the next-most-compressed format that plays back cleanly through this mod, ~6× smaller than the original.wavmeaning much easier download
Notes
- The boombox plays a random track from the folder each time you turn it on.
- Track names appear in the in-game "Now Playing" popup, so renaming files changes up that display.
- all songs were downloaded directly from youtube via yt-dlp
- some base tracks were taken from the WhiteGirlMusicT mod (ty to asdasdassdad)
