README

COMPANY-MANDATED MESSAGE:

Dear employees,

You may have noticed that our stun grenades have recently been out of stock. This is due to a shipping error in the delivery service of our weapons provider. A mix-up has occurred, and instead of our usual stun grenades, we have received so-called "Splat Bombs" that were intended for so-called "Turf Wars".

We apologize for the confusion, and have tried to return the items, but we've grown impatient with their customer support, so we're forcing all of you to use these Splat Bombs instead. They appear to function the same as stun grenades anyway.

That is all for this message. We hope you stay a great asset to the Company.

The Mod

Introduction:

Want to ink up some turf? Splat some bombs? Make some rains? Well, this mod lets you do the first two of those things by replacing the model and sounds for the Stun Grenade with Splat Bombs from the Splatoon franchise!

Splat Bombs function and cost the same as vanilla Stun Grenades, so don't be afraid to have some fishy fun with this inkredibly bomb-astic cosmetic!
(...do people actually like these puns?)

Creation:

  • Friend of mine came up with the idea, and I had a day off, so I challenged myself to do this in just one day. It was kind of rushed, so if there's anything major that's broken I'll look into it.
  • The model for the Stun Grenade is not replaced, but rather a new Splat Bomb model is spawned on top. All other sound effects, item properties, and texts are actually replaced with custom assets. Assets are loaded and applied during runtime.
