Description
Lethal DHL is my ideal version of Lethal Company without having any coding knowledge whatsoever. It's the culmination of everything i've learned from creating modpacks in the past.
Since the modpack has been made for my german-only group, there's some "de-americanization" going on, mainly weight being displayed in kg instead of lbs and time using a 24h format.
In the v73 version there's also a TV mod included that's almost exclusively german memes, but currently not included in the v81 version. (Because i have no idea if any of these Custom TV Video APIs work on v81 if they weren't updated to that version yet)
The gameplay-loop remains largely unchanged. You still have your usual 3 day quotas without anything too out of the ordinary in terms of game mechanics or features, but when it comes to actual content you do get a substantial amount of new moons, monsters, traps, weathers, scraps and of course equipment, boosting the game's variety at least tenfold.
I've made it my mission to pretty much balance every single feature down to the smallest detail, so that the whole package feels like a coherent and balanced content expansion for people that love the vanilla gameplay but simply wish there was more of it.
I had to use like at least 5 spreadsheets just to keep it all comprehensive for me and not lose my sanity while configuring it. lol
Don't expect too many updates for this, it was already thoroughly played and tested so fixable issues are basically non-existent and i am already quite happy with the way it is.
Important Notes
- Since 2.0.1 this is a v81 modpack with some mods still stuck on v73 but they appear to fine regardless.
- For your own or even your whole groups sanity i recommend to never manually update anything until a proper update to this modpack has been released
- Including all vanilla moons & the company, there is a total of 33 moons, Lua & Oxyde are unlockable and there's 2 hidden Mario 64 themed moons
- The modpack is meant to be played as-is, that means you should under no circumstance ever add new content on top of it. All configuration was explicitly made for the content that's already included. Adding even more stuff won't ever generate or spawn due to how LunarConfig was set up.
Known Issues
- Loading the game and connecting to a lobby may take REALLY freaking long depending on how beefy your computer and how fast your internet is
- Standing right at the Ship's door while loading a moon will kill your framerate causing the loading process to take much longer than usual, prevent this by keeping everyone away from the door until loading has finished
- Some host/client desyncs can occur with certain moon and interior generation like random rocks or landmines but they havn't been very common (yet)
- Depending on the moon the framerate can get really low if you're close to the ship and looking in certain directions
- FinallyCorrectKeys does not show correct keys when changing keybinds for CodeRebirth items
- Interior probability chance per moon doesn't seem to work exactly how i configured it, meaning it is possible an interior may generate on a moon where it hasn't been configured to spawn in at all
- There used to be a bug where sometimes a player can glitch through the floor at the company moon, it seems the issue has fixed itself through some mod updates but i figured i might as well mention it just in case
- The game may crash if your try to record footage via Nvidia Shadowplay while playing, it only happened to my brother atm. but can't hurt to still mention it here
- Very rarely some dropped items disappear but only visibly, they still exist and are scannable and reappear when picked up
- Coroner mod sometimes shows wrong cause of death or in wrong language
- Not really an issue but there's quite a few modded scrap items that say you can do stuff with them on the top right but the functions have not yet been implemented by CodeRebirth
Also fun fact the only reason i called this modpack "Lethal DHL" was because we included a DHL cruiser skin for lols
