Client-side disconnect handling for Lethal Company with clearer reasons and automatic reconnects when possible. Host does not need the mod.BetterDisconnectReasons
BetterDisconnectReasons is a client-side Lethal Company v81 mod that replaces misleading disconnect outcomes with clearer reasons and automatically reconnects after unexpected disconnects when the server still accepts the client.
What it does
- Leaves intentional/local disconnects alone.
- Automatically reconnects after an unexpected server disconnect.
- Continues normally when the server approves the reconnect.
- Reports
You were kicked.when the available disconnect evidence identifies a kick. - Preserves useful vanilla rejection reasons when they describe the current server state.
- Replaces generic unreachable-server failures with
Server no longer exists.
Compatibility
- Lethal Company v81.
- Client-side only.
- The host does not need the mod.
- Requires BepInEx 5.
Installation
Install with a Thunderstore-compatible mod manager, or place ZaboomafooW-BetterDisconnectReasons-v1.0.0.dll in your BepInEx/plugins folder.
Build
Targets .NET Standard 2.1.
By default the project references a standard Windows Lethal Company installation at:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Lethal Company\
Override LethalCompanyManagedPath and BepInExCorePath MSBuild properties if your installation is elsewhere.
