BetterDisconnectReasons

Fixes misleading disconnect messages and automatically tries to reconnect when it can actually help.

Important: BetterDisconnectReasons conflicts with V73dcfix.

Disable or remove hu_luo_bo_ya-V73dcfix before using BetterDisconnectReasons. Do not run both mods at the same time. Both mods change the same client-side disconnect handling.

What it does

Shows "You were kicked." when the reconnect check confirms a kick.
Shows "Server was closed." when the host closes the server or the old server no longer answers.
Shows "You lost connection." when Steam reports a client-side connection failure while the ship is not in orbit.
If the ship is in orbit, a client-side connection failure gets one automatic reconnect attempt.
If that reconnect succeeds, nothing is shown.
If the server rejects that reconnect, the server's rejection is shown.
If the reconnect cannot reach the server, it shows "You lost connection.".
After the game has started, the old server gets 2 seconds to answer the kick/server-close check. This prevents a newly started server from being mistaken for the old one.

Compatibility

Targets Lethal Company v81.
Client-side only.
Intended for Steam/online sessions; LAN connections are left to vanilla behavior.
The host does not need the mod.
Requires BepInEx 5.
Incompatible with hu_luo_bo_ya-V73dcfix. Disable V73dcfix before using BetterDisconnectReasons.

Installation

Disable or remove V73dcfix if it is installed.
Install BetterDisconnectReasons with Thunderstore Mod Manager/r2modman, or place ZaboomafooW-BetterDisconnectReasons-v1.0.2.dll in BepInEx/plugins.
Do not enable BetterDisconnectReasons and V73dcfix together.
