This is a mod coded by radsi889, uploaded by TapeTracker for muck lobbies that have A lot of players. No need to worry about the 8 player limit.

CUSTOMIZABLE PLAYER COUNT

To customize the player count you will find a file in your bepinex folder, (or config folder for mod launchers) "Muck\BepInEx\config > someone.muck.alotofplayers.cfg"

Inside the file it would look like this,

"[Settings] Maximum players allowed per lobby. Setting type: Int32 Default value: 40 MaxP1ayersCap = 40"

You can set the player cap to whatever and everytime you host a lobby that will be the player cap just as long as other people have the mod. If there is any bugs with this just have every player in the lobby set the number (MaxPlayersCap) in the file to the same one as the host.

Additional Notes

The mod uses BepInEx, if you were to try and set it up manually you would need BepInEx on your copy of muck. When done with installation just move the .dll into the plugins folder of BepInEx.
