Nivalis Tracked Quests HUD
Show pinned quests on the HUD, compass and map, with optional business reminders and shared Mods settings.Nivalis Tracked Quests HUD

Pin the quests you want to follow in the journal. Tracked Quests HUD keeps unpinned quests off the gameplay quest panel, compass and map while retaining ordinary shop, travel and home markers.
Version 1.1.14 — official Update #3, Steam build 25738165.
Install LUZ Civic Terminal (recommended). It can download and install the recommended BepInEx build, import mod ZIPs, manage profiles, check declared dependencies and apply your selected mods. Manual installation remains available.
Features
- Shows only pinned journal quests on the gameplay quest panel.
- Hides untracked quest markers and quest numbers on the compass, including shared destinations.
- Keeps ordinary shop, travel, home and other location markers.
- Responds to pin changes without a restart.
- Hides automatic venue setup and restocking reminders by default, with an option to keep them.
- Lets you restore the original compass independently of the filtered quest panel.
- Avoids unnecessary empty-HUD layout work and repeated checks for the same quest within a compass pass.
- Preserves the journal, quest progress, saved pins and the native five-entry panel limit.
- Hides untracked map quest markers and the selected area's untracked quest list.
- Clears the HUD when no quests are pinned.
Settings
With Unofficial Patch installed, open Settings > Mods > Tracked Quests HUD. Changes apply when saved.
Standalone settings are in BepInEx/config/hvizeu.nivalis.trackedquestshud.cfg; close the game before editing. HUD.HideBusinessReminders and Compass.TrackedQuestsOnly and Map.TrackedQuestsOnly all default to true. Set either to false to retain that native behavior.
Selecting a quest to read it is not the same as pinning it. Use the journal’s pin control.
Compatibility
Better Time and Unofficial Patch are optional companion mods. Other mods that replace the same quest panel or compass may conflict. This mod changes presentation, not quest completion or progress.
Verification
Built for Steam build 25738165. Build, native-binding, regression and package checks accompany this release. The latest accessors and full gameplay/controller/save lifecycle still require the release checklist; a performance capture alone does not verify every feature.
Updating
Keep one copy of the plugin and preserve existing configuration and save companions. Back up your saves before updating.
Installation
Requires Windows x64 and BepInEx 6 IL2CPP.
With LUZ: close the game, select your profile and use Maintenance > Install recommended BepInEx if needed. After first-time loader setup, start the game yourself once, let it initialize, then close it. Use Registry > Import ZIP / DLL to import this mod, then Apply profile. If you already have mods in the game, use Maintenance > Import existing installation before your first Apply. Keep the full plugin folder, including manifest.json and icon.png.
Installing through a Thunderstore-compatible mod manager also installs the declared dependency, BepInEx-BepInExPack_IL2CPP-6.0.755. Launch through that manager when using its profile.
The tested loader is build 788. Compatibility with the dependency's build 755 has not been verified in-game.
For manual installation, install the loader separately and follow these steps:
- Save and close the game. Back up your saves in
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Ion Lands\Nivalis Nights. - In Steam, select Manage > Browse local files.
- If BepInEx is not installed, extract the loader beside
Nivalis Nights.exe. Start the game once to initialize it, then close it. - Extract this mod's ZIP into the game folder, merging the
BepInExfolders. - Keep one copy of
NivalisTrackedQuestsHUD.dllunderBepInEx/plugins/NivalisTrackedQuestsHUD/. Replace the old DLL when updating and keep your configuration.
Pin quests in the journal. With Unofficial Patch installed, use Settings > Mods > Tracked Quests HUD. Reopen the map after changing map filtering. Standalone settings remain in the existing config file.
To uninstall, close the game and remove this mod's DLL. Keep BepInEx if your other mods need it. Removing a mod does not undo saved progress.
Feedback and support
If this helps your playthrough, an endorsement or rating is appreciated. For bug reports, include the mod version, game version, other mods, steps to reproduce, and BepInEx/LogOutput.log. For performance reports, include hardware, graphics settings and a comparison on the same save.
Support my work on Ko-fi. Made by Hvizeu. Uses BepInEx, HarmonyX and Il2CppInterop, supplied separately with the loader. This is an independent, unofficial mod.
