README

Dropper

Adds a Minecraft-style Dropper experience to PEAK.

Description

Dive into the skies with two distinct Dropper game modes—available directly from the in-game flight terminal (just like selecting higher ascents):

  • Dropper – Classic Mode: Navigate through obstacles as you fall toward the portal at the bottom. Survive the descent to be teleported seamlessly to the next level.

  • Dropper – Descent Mode: A more intense twist—no portal to catch you! Race your friends to the bottom of the tower. But be warned: go too fast, and you might not survive the landing.

Dependencies

If not installed already install these mods, without them the Dropper Map will either Partially not work, or not load entirely:

  • PEAKLib_Items by PEAKModding

Features

  • Two fully playable game modes
  • Full multiplayer support
  • Seamless integration using the existing game UI (no clunky overlays!)
  • Hazardous environments: lava, cacti, and fire
  • Reset button for faster retries
  • A hidden secret item

FAQ

Q: How do I play with friends?
A: Make sure everyone has the mod installed. Then, start the game as usual, invite your friends to the lobby, and choose one of the new Dropper modes from the flight terminal.

Future Plans

We’ve already received some great feedback and are considering opening the GitLab repository if there's enough community interest. Planned updates include:

  • Bug fixes
  • Gameplay optimizations
  • New ways to reward fast and skillful descents

Please note that development progress may vary based on our availability, as we also have real-life responsibilities.
