Summit Watch

Catch cheaters and soundboard spammers in your PEAK lobby. Summit Watch watches every other scout and shows how likely each one is to be griefing, like an AI-text detector for gameplay. It says CONFIRMED only when it has proof of a cheat menu.

Only you need it installed. It works as host or client, in any lobby.

What it catches

Signal Example
Puppeteering (proof) Someone kills, knocks out, teleports, petrifies or sticks a scout they don't control
Fling A body jittering back and forth tens of metres every update, launching anyone it touches
Forced mute / forced run end (proof) Commands the game itself never sends: muting a player for everyone, or ending the run (which deletes the save)
Force spam Repeatedly flinging another scout
Self-warp Teleporting with no warp item
Item from nothing Spawning items that weren't in their inventory, or items the host made appear right next to them from nowhere
Spawn request to host (When you host) a player asking the game to create items in their hands with no reason
Impossible item (proof) Their own game creating, right in front of them or into their hands, an item that never appears naturally in PEAK
Out-of-biome item An item that only spawns in a later biome appearing fresh where you are
Flight / noclip / teleport / speed Hovering, moving through rock, jumping across the map, super speed
Endless stamina / no hunger Stamina that never drops, hunger that never rises
Impossible landing Surviving a huge fall without injury
Replayed clip Playing the exact same sound clip again (soundboards), even at a different volume
Earrape Clipping-loud audio held for seconds
Not speech / nonstop audio Music or sound effects with no speech rhythm, a mic that never pauses
Kick without being host (proof) A non-host trying to kick someone
Timer change without being host A non-host changing the run timer
Super jump Their own jump rising far higher than vanilla allows from flat ground
Immune to cold/heat (off by default) Cold or heat staying at zero while scouts right next to them freeze or overheat

Self-shield: your game refuses commands from other players' games that would kill, knock out, teleport, petrify or stick your scout (only you and the host can do those in vanilla), bursts of shoves, and the mute and force-win commands the game never sends. Then it tells the other games you're fine. A flinging player's body stops colliding with yours for 30 s, so touching you can't launch you. ([Shield] in the config.)

Flood guard: when someone dumps a pile of spawned items (say 100 mandrakes), Summit Watch removes them before the lobby crashes. As host it deletes them for everyone and blocks that player's further spawn requests; otherwise it switches them off on your own screen so your game stays smooth.

Spawn cleanup: items Summit Watch judges as illegally spawned are removed. As host, the ones it's certain about (made by the cheater's own game, right in front of them or into their hands) are deleted for everyone, even out of their inventory, and unexplained spawn requests are refused; everything else is removed from your screen only. Choose how sure it must be with [SpawnCleanup] Level (Everything / Strong / Proof).

Voice is analysed in memory as loudness numbers only. Nothing is recorded or saved.

Evidence fades over a few minutes, so one weird moment won't brand anyone. Without proof, a single kind of evidence can't push anyone past Watch: reaching Likely takes two independent signals (for example movement plus stamina). Signals that come from one event, like one sound or one launch, count once. Victims who are flung or teleported by someone else aren't blamed, and lag is taken into account.

How to use

  • Press F2 to open the panel. Each scout has a %, a band (Clean, Watch, Likely, Very likely, CONFIRMED) and the reasons.
  • Click a name to open their profile: platform id (Copy ID), host tag, whether they're alive and what they're holding, each detector's strength and reliability, and a scrollable list of every offense with its time. Copy report puts the whole thing on your clipboard for Discord or a report.
  • Warn lobby posts a message in the join/leave feed of everyone who has Summit Watch, and copies it to your clipboard so you can paste it into Steam or Discord chat for everyone else.
  • Mute silences a player for you (PEAK's own per-player mute).
  • Roles (host only): in a player's profile the host picks Not trusted, Trusted (may mod: their items and spawns are left alone) or Shield bypass (also gets through everyone's shield and can kick). Everyone with Summit Watch in the lobby uses the host's list, so nobody disagrees. If the host doesn't have Summit Watch, nobody is trusted. In someone else's lobby you can still set your own saved roles ("Saved for when you host"), so the people you always play with are ready the next time you host.
  • Kick: the host and shield-bypass players can kick not-trusted players (the host can kick anyone). Trusted players can Request kick; the host or a shield-bypass player answers with one click. A cheater whose menu ignores the kick is muted and blocked for everyone with Summit Watch.
  • Evidence log: BepInEx/SummitWatch/logs/, one file per launch, ready to attach to a report.

Config

BepInEx/config/summitwatch.cfg: panel key, toasts, how fast evidence fades, your roles for when you host, auto-kick on CONFIRMED ([Kick] AutoKickConfirmed, off by default), and per-detector on/off, weight, cap and threshold.

Notes

  • Summit Watch only kicks when the host, a shield-bypass player or an approved request says so (or auto-kick, if the host turned it on). Otherwise it acts only on commands aimed at your own scout (see Self-shield), illegally spawned items and, when you host, unexplained "spawn this for me" requests (see Spawn cleanup and Flood guard). Trusted players are never acted on. If it ever removes a legit item, lower [SpawnCleanup] Level.
  • PEAK's kick only asks the player's game to leave, so a cheat menu can ignore it. Summit Watch then treats them as gone for everyone who has it; players without it still see them.
  • Other mods that move players around (or fly, spawn items, etc.) will show up as suspicious. That's what the trust list is for.
  • An RPC aimed at a single other player isn't visible to you, so some cheats only show up for their target.
  • Inventory or hotbar mods that create items their own way can look like an "Impossible item" (proof). The host can trust their users, or set [Detector.ImpossibleItem] Enabled = false.
  • A cheater can make the host create items "for" someone else. When you're the host, Summit Watch blames the real requester; otherwise the evidence lands on whoever the item appeared at, which is never proof on its own.
