⛰️ About the Modpack

This PEAK modpack is designed to expand the game without completely changing its identity.

The main focus is on Quality of Life, cooperative gameplay, new movement mechanics, additional gameplay options, customization and performance, while keeping the original PEAK experience recognizable.

The pack includes:

• numerous Quality of Life improvements;
• new cooperative mechanics;
• additional movement and parkour options;
• new items and gameplay mechanics;
• optional challenges;
• extensive character customization;
• performance and troubleshooting tools;
• enhanced graphical options through PEAK Visuals;
• support for more than 4 players.

⚖️ Player-scaled loot

Loot quantity is adjusted according to the number of players in the lobby.

This keeps resource availability more consistent between small groups and larger expeditions instead of simply giving a large group the same amount of loot as a small one.

⚙️ Configuration

Not every mod exposes all of its settings through the in-game interface.

Some options are only available through BepInEx configuration files. Gale is therefore strongly recommended, as its configuration editor makes these settings much easier to access.

If an option does not appear in-game, check the mod configuration through Gale before assuming that the feature is unavailable.

Default difficulty settings

Some mods contain options that can make PEAK considerably harder.

Several of these options are disabled by default in this modpack in order to keep the experience accessible and relatively close to vanilla PEAK.

This notably applies to stricter options provided by BetterModVerifier.

Catch Players

Allows players to catch nearby falling teammates and pull them toward safety.

FollowMe

Improves group coordination by providing additional ways for players to follow one another during an expedition.

EnhancedPing

Expands the game's ping system and makes communication between players easier.

PhotonPingGUI

Displays your Photon network latency directly on screen, with configurable placement and display options.

PEAKStatsEx

Provides additional information about player and run statistics.

ItemStats

Displays statistics for the currently selected item.

ItemScroller

Makes navigating through inventory and item pages more convenient.

Passport Pagination

Adds navigation buttons when the passport contains more pages of options.

GetOffCacti

Restores the ability to voluntarily get off cacti.

Safe Beehive Looting

Allows lit flares to disperse bee swarms around beehives or attacking players.

Full Belly

Adds a fullness system that temporarily prevents hunger after consuming enough food.

BetterCannon

Allows cannons to be detached and their angle adjusted after placement.

BetterSnowball

Adds additional snowball mechanics such as configurable growth and throwing force.

Rope Swinging Mod

Adds momentum-based swinging while climbing ropes, with configurable physics and controls.

Hardcore Parkour

Allows players to perform aerial flips and rewards successful landings with stamina recovery.

Devil May Climb

Adds a Style Meter that rewards players for performing stylish actions and chaining impressive movements.

Chained

Connects players together with a physical chain, creating a completely different cooperative challenge. The host can spawn or remove the chain with F10.

🎒 Items, Food & New Mechanics

PiggyBank

Adds a persistent piggy bank that allows each player to keep one item between runs.

Getting Yolked

Eating raw or cooked eggs can provide stamina and strength benefits, with additional consequences for overeating eggs.

Item Multiplier — Super Bean Mode

Increases the amount of loot generated from luggage and adds optional chaotic modes such as Super Beans and explosive luggage openings.

Rarity Roulette

Adds special revolvers that can either hurt the player or spawn random loot from the current biome's loot pool.

Warming Lava

Adds additional gameplay interactions around lava and heat.

PEAK Farts

Adds humorous fart-related mechanics to PEAK.

Poop

Adds poop to the game. Everybody poops.

My Banana Don't Hurt Me

Adds additional banana-related gameplay interactions.

👹 Optional Challenges

Green Demon Challenge

A relentless Green Demon appears during the climb and hunts players. The mod offers multiple difficulty and behavior settings.

Mimic — disabled by default

Adds a horror enemy capable of copying player appearances and replaying recorded voice clips to deceive players.

The Mimic is disabled by default.

It is intended as an optional horror/chaos mode rather than a mandatory part of the standard experience.

DayNightUI — disabled by default

Adds a visual day/night indicator and an optional clock.

Disabled by default to preserve some of the uncertainty and atmosphere of the original game.

WindIndicatorUI — disabled by default

Adds a visual indicator for wind direction.

Disabled by default to preserve the environmental challenge of reading the mountain.

MyPrevision

Adds additional information intended to help players anticipate elements of the expedition.

👥 Large Groups

PEAK Unlimited

Raises PEAK's lobby player limit, allowing groups larger than four players to play together. Only the host needs the mod.

Larger groups can increase network and hardware requirements, so performance may vary depending on the number of players and active mods.

🚀 Performance & Stability

PEAK Visuals

PEAK Visuals expands PEAK's graphical options with features such as:

• supersampling;
• additional anti-aliasing options;
• MSAA;
• resolution scaling;
• shadow quality controls;
• upscaling;
• LOD quality controls.

Its default configuration aims for a balance between visual quality, clarity and performance.

PEAK Visuals is not simply an FPS booster. Increasing render scale, supersampling or graphical quality can increase GPU usage.

For better performance:

• keep render scale at a reasonable level;
• lower shadow quality if necessary;
• avoid supersampling on weaker GPUs;
• use upscaling when available.

WhySoLaggy

Provides diagnostic tools for identifying potential sources of lag, RPC issues and mod conflicts.

TumbleweedThrottle

Dynamically reduces tumbleweed synchronization frequency depending on player and tumbleweed counts to reduce Photon-related issues.

TornadoFix

Fixes Tornado prefab registration with Photon at startup to improve multiplayer stability.

PEAKFastStartup

Skips the game's lengthy splash screens and starts loading immediately.

Installation

1. Select PEAK in Gale.
2. Import or create the modpack profile.
