  • In-game floating settings window (F3 to open/close)
  • Fog damage is always active regardless of visuals — fully safe with vanilla players online

Installation

  1. Install BepInEx into your PEAK game
  2. Copy FogVisualOnly.dll to BepInEx/plugins/
  3. Launch the game

Settings

Fog Toggle

The large button at the top of the SETTINGS tab controls fog visibility.

  • FOG: OFF (green) — All fog visuals are removed. This is the default for maximum FPS. Your current settings are saved automatically.
  • FOG: ON (red) — Fog visuals are restored to their previous state. Toggle back to instantly re-apply your saved settings.

Toggling fog OFF saves a snapshot of your current visual/performance settings. Toggling it back ON restores that snapshot. This means you can freely tweak settings while fog is off, then switch back to your customized look with one click.

Visuals

Controls the two main fog types in the game.

Setting Description Default
Atmospheric Fog ON = fog is visible. OFF = atmospheric fog renderers are disabled entirely. OFF
Rising Sphere ON = the rising sphere fog is visible. OFF = sphere fog renderers are disabled entirely. ON
Atmospheric Opacity Fades atmospheric fog from 0 (invisible) to 1 (full). Only affects rendering when Atmospheric Fog is ON. 0
Sphere Opacity Fades sphere fog from 0 (invisible) to 1 (full). Only affects rendering when Rising Sphere is ON. 0.4

Tip: Use opacity sliders instead of toggling fog OFF to keep partial visibility while still gaining FPS.

Performance

Disables non-renderer fog components for additional performance gains.

Setting Description Default
Fog Particles Disables particle emitters on fog objects. Stops fog particle effects from spawning. ON
Fog Plane Disables the fog plane mesh renderer. Removes the flat fog plane covering terrain. ON
Fog Animations Stops Animator components on fog objects. Prevents fog from moving/swirling. ON
Fog Shadows Disables shadow casting on atmospheric fog renderers. Reduces shadow map overhead. ON
Fog VFX Disables VisualEffect components on fog objects. Stops any VFX Graph-based fog effects. ON

Sphere

Separate controls for the rising sphere's effects. Independent from the PERFORMANCE section so you can keep sphere visuals while disabling atmospheric ones.

Setting Description Default
Sphere Shadows Disables shadow casting on sphere-specific fog renderers. OFF
Sphere Particles Disables particle emitters on the sphere. Stops the sphere's particle trail. OFF
Sphere Animations Stops Animator components on the sphere. Freezes sphere movement animations. OFF

Audio & Physics

Non-visual fog components. These affect gameplay, not FPS.

Setting Description Default
Fog Sounds Mutes all AudioSources found on fog/mist/haze GameObjects. ON
Fog Colliders Disables all Colliders on fog objects. OFF

Note: Fog damage is always active regardless of these settings. Disabling colliders does not disable fog damage.

Reset to Vanilla
