Changelog

Updated 2 weeks ago

So the changelog appeared on the website finally.. You don't need to read this, but I put this here anyways!

Changelog

[2.1.0]

  • Added the ability to disable anti aliasing completely.

    • (NOTE pls read) I wasn't planning on adding an option like this considering mods like HDPeak already does that for you and adding it seemed like a waste of time. But after further testing of my mod, some players might have saw some blur or "smearing" and because of this I wanted to find a way to remove it. But I wasn't sure if it was coming from the mod not doing its job or if its the smearing that comes from PEAK's temporal anti aliasing (TAA). So to figure it out, I decided to test removing it and the smearing wasn't there anymore.. So if you want this mod to have zero smearing or any "ghosting" that feels like blur, I recommend enabling the toggle. If you're using the mod HDPeak, I would highly consider leaving the toggle off if you are planning to change or use any sort of anti aliasing. If you want to keep anti aliasing but remove the smearing effect, I would recommend using HDPeak's MSAA to have the same feel but not have that weird smearing effect. -- A reminder that once you toggle this feature, I recommend Render Scale to be set on Native to see clearer results. Lower Render Scale may feel more blurry mainly due to the reduced render quality.
  • Changed the way motion blur is removed from the game.

    • I hope this doesn't introduce new problems, but I changed this because I thought the motion blur removal wasn't enough and blur was seeping through. So I hope this fixes the issue if that's happening to players. Say something in the Peak modded chat discussion in the Official Peak Discord if there's some flaws or problems because sometimes I look there! (I don't really use many social media platforms that much surprisingly..)
  • Along with changing how motion blur is removed, I removed the Auto-Refresh and One-time mode. I had a feeling that the modes were useless to some people and felt more confusing in the config more than anything...

  • Hopefully fixed that CHANGELOG MD file and the changelogs should hopefully appear on the thunderstore website... Wow.

    • I also made the changelog a little easier to read..
  • Fixed some tiny errors in the README file.

  • Lastly (again) if there are any issues or problems I recommend downgrading as I am still not very experienced in coding. I know I say this too much and this will be the last time I do say it in a patch, but whatever happens I am not really good at fixing and I hope that the mod does what its supposed to do! Things can happen on other people's systems or games so my testing might not be as accurate as others playing.

[2.0.2]

  • i don't wanna talk about it...

[2.0.1]

  • fixed the changelog... again... i really hope this doesn't screw up again lmao

[2.0.0]

  • MAJOR REWRITE TO THE MOD. Everything about the mod's code was redone because of ONE new optional setting.. Because of this, the mod should be way more friendlier to PEAK.

  • Added the option to disable the post processing effects within the game!! Again, this is OPTIONAL! When you download this mod, motion blur should already be disabled and post processing will be left enabled. It's your choice to disable it. Running this mod for the first time will make the config file for you to choose to enable/disable it.

  • Added an option that makes it so the mod checks to disable the effects every 5 seconds or just a one time option. If something happens where the effects get disabled randomly or some case like that, you can choose the option that allows you to run it every 5 seconds although if you care about the console being spammed, I recommend switching it to one time. I guess this also makes it so that the config isn't useless apart from the post-processing..

  • Added the ability to add delay after the scenes load before they disable any of the effects.

  • Removed the "!" from the project code and the mod config name so it doesn't look weird.

  • HOPEFULLY CHANGELOG.md WILL FINALLY ACTUALLY APPEAR ON THE THUNDERSTORE WEBSITE I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I AM TRYING TO FIX A SIMPLE CHANGELOG LMAO

  • As long as CHANGELOG.md works on the front page, the wiki changelog section of the mod will be removed.

  • Updated the README.md again.

  • Should be updated for PEAK 1.24.a but the mod should have worked fine regardless.

  • Final thing, I am not great at coding, so if there is any problems, downgrade if necessary if the new configs doesn't help you. Since the game relies a bit on post processing, I cannot guarantee that the game will be very stable. Testing the ability to remove post processing crashed two times when I opened the game. So if it crashes, try running it more times. Otherwise try the other options.. I am sure that the mod will work fine, but I cannot promise that there won't be weird issues occurring, and I wouldn't be too sure on how to approach and fix it well. Disable it if you must.. or if you want to! Have fun, Scouts!

[1.0.1]

  • Added the ability to toggle the motion blur in the config.. But if you never wanted motion blur disabled you could remove the mod. The motion blur should already be disabled upon downloading the mod.

  • Changed the README.md slightly.

  • That's all lol I am so terrible at this so forgive me for the weak update. I may add a way to optionally disable post processing if possible but take it with a grain of salt. It may add problems if I try to remove it so it won't be a high priority. If there's any issues that occurs I would recommend downgrading this mod.
